清甜鮮果甜品專門店 (旺角)

晚上和太太，女兒和菲傭來吃甜品。 小店一間，有4至5張枱，可坐10數人。店子由3名年青人打理，不知是不是老闆，但很有禮及耐心。店內很多人，但剛好有一張空枱。

女兒和菲傭各自叫了芒果雪花冰 ($23)。 清新的芒果味，女兒很喜歡。 但淋在冰上的芒果汁則稍甜。

我要了咖啡雪花冰及煉奶($23)另加涼粉(加$3)。 濃濃的咖啡味。 但有些後悔，因以前來過吃椰子雪花冰， 水果味比咖啡味好。

太太叫了椰汁西瓜涼粉 ( $18)。 我沒吃，不作評論。

鄰卓2個女孩子看見我們的食物，低聲地說已肥了很多，不能再吃。

買單共$90。 覺得物有所值。

光顧滿$25可蓋印花一個。 蓋滿10個可作$20用。

太太擔心店方用台灣原料作雪花冰，其中一名店員耐心解釋他們的原料在香港制造。

美心香港地 (大角咀)

I was on leave in the morning (27 May 2011), and before returning to the office in the afternoon, I came here for lunch at about 12 noon.

Agreed with Manko below, there is a lot to be improved for service. I don't know whether this place is meant to be a restaurant" or a 茶餐廳. When I arrived, no one ushered me to a table. I walked in and found a table for myself. No one cared about my existence, though a lots of waitresses (I think there should be 5 to 6 waitresses, serving a not-very-large restaurant which was only half full when I arrived) were walking around, apparently busy at something but I could not understand what they were busy at. It took sometimes before I stopped one of those walking-around-waitresses to take order from me, despite I kept waving my hand.

A few tables were set outside the main dinning area. Patrons over there were just left on their own. A gentleman, after sat down with a woman for a while, walked to the cashier to place his order direct as no one seemed to care about their existence, was told to return to his table. Another table of patrons of four, waved at the female receptionist next to their table, asking her to take orders. Yet, the female receptionist just looked at them, doing nothing. Then she walked inside the dinning area to ask someone else to take orders. Then she walked out, returning to her position and resumed her job as a receptionist again. It takes another 5 or 10 minutes for someone to take orders from that table.

Regarding food, there were three types of sets lunch. The price were about $40. I ordered 常餐B instead, like 澳牛, which consisted of 义燒湯意, toast, ham and 炒蛋, which came with a hot drink ($3 additional for cold drink). The set costed me $32. 义燒湯意 was horrible. The soup is tastless. The spaghetti was overcooked, and was too soggy. Five small pieces of 义燒 which were quite good in fact. The egg is completely dried. The ham was ordinary and normal. The toast was disappointing, cold and soggy. No particular comment on coffee, as one can't expect much from Maxim.

I suddenly realised that in other Maxim's fast food restaurants, this set is called 經典早餐. The only differences are 經典早餐 provides you with bread with butter, whereas 常餐B provides you with "toast" with butter. The portion of spaghetti in 常餐B is slightly bigger. However, the former only costs me $21 (and $19 only if you have coupon) whereas the latter costs me $32.

I don't think I will come to this place again.

漢陽苑韓國料理 (佐敦)

Went there with the She Who Must be Obeyed, the little princess and our maid yesterday evening, after shopping at Wing On. My little princess remembered the cooking experience, and chosed to have dinner at this place. We have not been to this place for nearly one year. A church is now situated on the 9/F. The price is $128 per head for adult, can't remember the price for kid though. All you can eat and drink (for specified drinks).

The food was good and seasoned nicely. But we did not eat much as we have a rather small appetize. We had some squid, which were nice. Beef and chicken were nice as well. Beef was great. What surprised me was the supply of Tong Yum Kung, which was served with large prawns. I rather enjoy the food.

The service is terrible, as usual. After we were seated and before we went to get food, a waiter pour soybean sauce for us. Black face throughout the whole process. After pouring for my little princess, my maid sitting together on one side and myself, he stopped without pouring for my wife who was seated on my left hand side. I looked up and saw that the waiter just stood there, stretched out his hand, pointed at the little dish of my wife which was not very far away from him, in silence, black face as usual. Then I realise that he did not bother to take the little dish of my wife to pour soybean sauce.

I also ordered a bottle of jinro, I think at $56.

I ended up paying something like $620. Very expensive for 3 adults and a kid.

漢堡王 (金鐘)

Suddenly want to have burger for lunch today. I therefore go to get lunch from Burger King.

I have tried their new set meal, the Bonjour Chicken Burger, with fries and soft drink at $28.5. Bonjoyr means the burger comes with ham and cheese. The size of the burger is disappointing, very small.In terms of taste, the chicken inside is too deep fried and is tasteless. The ham is too thinly sliced and it is again tasteless. Cannot find the cheese inside. The only satisfaction of this meal is the price, which is relatively cheap, compared with other Burger King meals.

Service is disappointing. I told my server that I did not need ketchup, and I returned two packs to him. He put them away. When he returned with my meal in less than 1 minute, he picked up two packs of ketchup and put them in my pack again.

輝記車仔麵 (油麻地)

由讀大學時光顧輝哥，看他在街邊擺擋，看着他的小兒子做功課；到現在輝哥的兒子也已長大。 自己也40歲，也成為爸爸。一個傷殘人士晚上在品流複雜的廟街附近開檔，當中的苦況不難想像。 但輝哥卻堅持多年，靠一個小檔養家活兒。

比起十多年，輝記的價錢只是貴了少少，但份量依舊十足。

星期一晚叫了豬皮，牛腩及牛栢葉外買回家 ($25)。 翻熱時，食物幾乎把裝滿了。豬皮及牛栢葉爽口，牛腩較肥。 湯底味濃。

$25的價錢，如此份量的食物及簡陋的車仔檔， 自問不可要求吃到天下美味或上等食材。 吃的只是一個雖然身體傷殘但仍努力工作養家的男人所煮的食物；繼續光顧也是對這一個男人的尊重。
