Firstly; one must applaud the owners for keeping the prices of their egg balls and waffles low in times such as these. In other areas where the price of waffles and egg balls have sky-rocketed to $20 or $25, I only have to pay a measly $12 for a waffle here, and less for the egg balls! I'll be honest; I don't want to know how they're doing it, but so long as the taste doesn't change I'm not going to complain.
The egg balls are crispy on the outside and delisciously chewy on the inside . I have to admit that on rainy days, they're the only reason I drag myself out of the house to go to the library.
The waffles themselves are similar and always bring a smile to my face, but the peanut butter and condensed milk on the inside isn't portioned quite correct so it tastes a little watery, and doesn't quite cover the whole waffle. 
The owners are always courteous and they speak decent English (as well as Chinglish for those trying to practice their Canto) so you won't be repeating yourself endlessly until you give-in, and point degectedly at the picture.
Because they're popular, it is likely that you'll need to wait in line for a few minutes. Your food comes fresh though, as due to their popularity, the stock flies off the shelf.
One thing that I feel needs pointing out is that unlike other egg balls which keep their crunch and chewiness somehow after hours left on the table in a soggy paper wrapper (now those, I would like to know the secret to), these don't last once the paper starts to sag so I advise eating them fresh. Same for the waffles.
They also serve other snack-food like curry fish balls, noodles and siu mai.

I came here with some friends and we sat for a few hours, nobody bothered us which was refreshing considering it is usual in HK to be bothered out of your seat if you don't constantly order things.

It was enjoyable and the ambience was friendly but civil which is exactly what we wanted. Everybody minded their own business, and because of the location (in a corner), you don't get bothered much by passer-bys. Everything is clean and well lit so there isn't a problem reading menus or books, whichever is your fancy.

The cakes were amazing and I had the 'Jasmine' which was surprisingly like cheesecake! My other friends had the Venezuela, a rich chocolate pyramid, the dinosaur cheesecake (adorable!) and Patricia. We also ordered a ginger late and iced ginger tea. The iced ginger tea was refreshing, but you could taste the sugar syrup and even then the beverage was quite watery.

My only complaint is that as there are quite a lot of staff members, I was surprised that they didn't bring your food to the table.

I love coming to Holly Brown and watching them make up the ice cream, it's great fun and also makes me feel as if I'm in control... a bit
It's difficult to get a table, even with the vast amount of seating, so it's best to takeaway. It's also noisy during the busier hours so almost impossible to have a conversation.
To be honest, I feel that the staff are a bit hit-and-miss. Most of the time I get a perfectly delightful person who is polite, courteous and sometimes chatty. However, occasionally I'll get a snippy, rude individual who doesn't seem to understand English (??) and decides that it's my fault that I have chosen to hold-up-the line. I don't think it's a reflection of the overall quality of Holly Brown, but I feel that those people should be placed in no-contact roles if they are unable to uphold the cafe's reputation.
So at the moment if would appear that Holly Brown isn't the best place to go. However, their redeeming features make everything better.
The food isn't bad, it's good value-for-money and the quality is worth the slight trek to get here. When you do get a seat, it's comfortable and nobody bothers you. Even better when it's not rush-hour because there's enough ambience noise not to make you feel awkward, but it's quite enough so that you can have a proper conversation.
The food presentation is also adorable, and it's difficult to fault a standard waffle-bowl factored into the price. Plus, the staff never judge you- no matter how bizarre your ice-cream combination is. 

I love Holly Brown. If there were a 'Friends' group in Hong Kong, then I'm sure they would hang out here.

My friend and I ordered the set lunch menu. I asked for the fish, and she asked for the steak.
The fish was slightly overcooked, and my friend described her steak as 'she's-had-better'. We both found the accompanying sauces too rich and overly creamy for the dishes. No complaints about the lovely presentation though!
The dessert was slightly better, although it was a little blander than expected.
The service was attentive and most certainly was what expected of a restaurant of this reputation. However, I was hoping for more from the decoration which- frankly- reminded me of a public bathroom? The chairs were comfortable, and the atmosphere fine. I can't help but feel that the service is the redeeming feature of the restaurant.
I think that if you come here expecting an amazing experience and set your expectations too high (this is supposed to be Harvey Nicholls, in all fairness) then you'll only be disappointed. However, if you're already a big spender and fancy lunch then Forth Floor isn't a bad place to be to sit down and relax.

I think what I'll take away from my experience is that ordering plain froyo is the most expensive option in the store. Ordering anything else (which pretty much comes standard with froyo) would be better value.

The froyo was alright, with the traditional 'sour' taste that comes with 'healthy' froyo. The brownie bits were strange in that they didn't have the usual crunchy outside, but not bad. I loved the adorable elephant spoon that they give you, and the value itself isn't too bad overall when compared to other froyo stores. 

Decoration of the store was alright, but I found the seats uncomfortable. However, it was well lit and the staff were very helpful as otherwise it would have been difficult to place an order. 

I recommend this store as the closest froyo store to the library, but don't go out of your way to come here. 

We came for the lunch buffet. The lighting is great for any occasion although it makes reading the menu slightly difficult, you'll find that it's bright enough for everything else.
I was wowed by the decor and ambience; it's a very nice area and it's well complimented by the 5-star service.
I found watching the waiters go around the restaurant with an iron to iron the table cloths very amusing, and it's one of the quirks that Lupa has to offer.
The buffet food was alright, I personally didn't find anything special about it all and found the fungi pizza we ordered with the buffet slightly fatty, although the crust was divine. They were also generous with the toppings which was probably why I found it a bit 'fatty' (there was a lot of cheese). I'm not the biggest pizza fan, but I ate two slices and enjoyed them.
They leave the bottles of water with you on a coaster which is thoughtful.
In summary; I'm sure that the cooked dishes are wonderful (as I have heard that they are). However, the buffet is nothing special with the usual spread (although for a vegetarian and light eater I found it perfect) and above-average quality that you would expect from a restaurant of this quality. The service is wonderful and for the most part, the other diners are considerate. I definitely recommend Lupa, even more so if you miss the traditional great service that tends to disappear below the $500 dish priceline.

I ordered the som tam and mango with sticky rice dessert.

Both were deliscious, the som tam coming as a big portion that filled me up quickly. The mango in the dessert was fresh, and the rice not too sweet. 

Overall, a really great dinner. 

Quick comment: They have a few barstools you can sit on and enjoy your cupcake with, but definetely limited.

I got the Pandam cupcake and was surprised that while it didn't match the description (the cake tasted more pandam than the strangely tasteless icing), was pleasently woed by the flavour and moist cake. Great selection of flavour, and decent pricing. 

The girl behind the counter was friendly and very helpful, the area was clean and I enjoyed watching others choose their flavours too.

I'm surprised that the store throws away the leftovers when they can donate them to charity though. I'm sure the owners have a good excuse, but it just seems a bit wasteful.

It's a nice cafe, something that I would have really loved when I was back at school as the wide variety of options to entertain oneself (darts, foozball, comics ect) and it's definitely got the cosier atmosphere of a place that's supposed to be for group catch-ups. However, having gone there for lunch by myself I'm not exactly sure it's right for a solitary dining experience.

Entering the cafe, I was confronted by a large puddle of water from an ice-box which had leaked. I was seated by the polite and friendly waitress, then given the menu to order from. I was shocked at the prices of the food! Order the set menu as it's infinitely better value than a single dish by itself.

I waited for over half an hour before the food arrived. I was given a tuna pasta salad of average taste, along with a slice of garlic bread. The main course was cold with the chips being soggy and slavered in watery gravy. I had to skip dessert as by that time I had to leave. Strangely enough, the other customers who arrived after me (a larger group) were served food before I was. I'm not sure whether you can choose your appetizers or not, but I wasn't given a choice in the matter.

The food was alright and the portions are great if you want to share one set between two people. I recommend the cafe for a casual group-dining experience. Service is good, although albeit slow and it's nice how you can see into the kitchen.

There was a range of flavors available, to which you are given the minimum amount of froyo, then asked if it's enough.
I enjoyed the friendly service that was offered and how the toppings were self-service (meaning you can put as many on as you wanted!). It's important to keep in mind that it's paid for in weight, otherwise you might go overboard.

The froyo texture was nearly identical to ice-cream, the flavour smooth and rich. I had green tea and apart from the lack of tooth-pinching sweetness, found that it was little different to the green tea ice cream available at Hagen Daz.

The toppings are relatively healthy compared to other places, and the fruit fresh.

The only complaint is that the seating is slightly off-putting.
