Cement, brick and wood is my style, so thumbs up!  Hygiene was okay. Taste & Value:
There were somewhere between 5 to 10 items to choose from, and all come with coffee/tea. M's: Academics Breakfast You have got to love the presentation of this dish!  I tried a bit of everything, and everything tasted decent. The sausage was packed with herbs and the length of it was ridiculously long. Mine: Eggs Benedict The 2 eggs were placed on 1 side of the muffin because instead of the salad being on the side, it was on the other half of the English muffin. How smart of them, so they saved themselves a piece of ham. I felt cheated. Oh well, I do have to admit that this benedict was indeed very tasty.  I think it was broiled and I liked it. The hollandaise sauce was balanced and very tasty, so I forgive them for robbing me my piece of ham. Cappuccino (+$20) M had a plain lemon tea, and I needed my coffee fix. This drink was soso. It was boring and a little bland tasting. Not the best I have had. Final Verdict:
I continue to have a love hate relationship with them. 

Since I was in Stanley, how could I not visit Cuppers for some coffee.  I went in just in time too, as it started to rain. Environment:
A neat quiet place for a person to sit and think about the day.  Sipping coffee while staring outside at the rain, doesn't it sound like a scene from a movie? Service:
Nice friendly service. 

Taste & Value:
Cafe Latte ($37) The neat and smooth milk foam created this beautiful latte art. Although it was a nice blend of beans,  I thought it was quite expensive for $37 as it was quite a small cup. Anyways, I guess there is a price to pay if you want good coffee. Ha! It didn't taste like any that I have had before in HK. I hate it when I get that generic taste at different places. Hygiene:
While I was enjoying my latte, 2 ladies came in with a dog. It would have been no biggie, but then the dog started to run around, even to where the food is made. Also, the staff was playing with the dog, like touching it, going through its fur and so on, which I don't think is hygienic at all. 

Final Verdict:
Good, but expensive. 

With the TeamWise Card, you can get some pretty good deals dining at the airport.

The servers were nice. They patiently dealt with the different discounts and coupons we had in order to get the best deal. 

Taste & Value:
My buddy and I got one teamwise set and one afternoon tea set to share. 

Bread The complimentary bread wasn't too good. It was soft inside, but the outside was like an unbreakable piece of paper. It probably had been sitting for a while, then warmed up when ordered.Caesar Salad Plain old caesar salad. We chose this over the soup, so that it'd be easier to share. Carbonara This pasta tasted quite good, but it was very heavy and greasy. The meat wasn't too fatty and made the pasta so flavourful. Linguini Vongole There were quite a lot of tiny clams in this pasta, but it was quite bland tasting, and quite spicy. After a few bites, we added it to the carbonara and it actually tasted a lot better this way. Tiramisu This was soso. It had a very soft and mousse like texture. I would have liked a stronger coffee taste to it. Coffee Both of us chose coffee. It was decent. Final Verdict:
I have always wanted to try their Admiralty branch, but after this visit, I don't think I will need to. 

This place is unique because they are known for using enzyme in their bread. Enzyme is good for digestion and stuff, so their products seem really healthy. 

Taste & Value:
Taro Pudding Bread The taste of taro was strong; definitely one I would recommend to taro lovers! The pudding inside was not overly sweet and went nicely with the taro. The exterior was flaky and the bread was super soft. I loved it! Charcoal Bun This bread was surprisingly good. I thought it was a hard bread, but it was soft. There was some kind of yam and red bean filling inside, which was very tasty. I liked this bun too! Sesame Bread This bread was really soft too, but was my least favourite out of the 3. Maybe because I tried the other 2 before trying this, so it seemed more plain relatively. Final Verdict:
Really nice bread! Way better than the place nearby in my opinion; way more natural. 

I can't remember how I came across this place, but when I saw that it had pastries, it went on my list!Enviroment & Hygiene:
Staircases from 2 sides can take you to this cave. Once you're down, you will see the beautiful pastries lined neaty behind the glass waiting to be ordered.  I really liked the stone walls. I felt like I was in a castle from the middle age.  This morning that I visited, there was some filming or photoshooting happening.Service:
The guy who helped me was really friendly and welcoming. 

Taste & Value:
Looking at all of their delicious items, I chose the Nutella Danish ($26) to be eaten by me.  Quite expensive actually, but at least there was a generous amount of nutella, as there was some on top of the danish and inside of it.  Every bite left nutella on my face and nutella was all that I could taste.  Try this if you love nutella. Final Verdict:
I liked this cave, so I would go again. 

Environment & Hygiene:
It is a tiny place with no seats, but there is a table inside and outside, so you could stand and eat if you want. The kitchen is clearly visible, which maybe explains why it it was quite hot inside. Hygiene was okay.I really liked how they made use of the beverage boxes; they made great decorations. Service:

Taste & Value:
It said on the menu that lunch sets were availabe from mon- fri, but when my sister and I ordered, we were informed that because it was a public holiday, they weren't available even though it was monday. I was really bummed out, as the lunch sets were much greater deals. If I had known this, I would have visited another day.    It was my sister who suggested to try it anyways. The fish & chips were wrapped in paper like how it is when you buy coldcuts. Before ordering, we asked how big the fish was, and we were told it was about 100g. Blue Cod with 1 scoop of Chips + Oysters (3) ($75 + $20+ $40) The first thing I tried was the oyster. The batter was quite chewy, and the oysters were big, juicy and tasted like the sea. The cod was a little tough, but it was good. The chips were fresh, but could have been more crispy. You get to choose a salt, and we chose garlic salt, which was quite nice. Although it added flavour to the food, it made everything even more dry. It would have been nice if sauce was given on the side instead of having to purchase it for an extra $5 -$10. What I liked best was the batter of the seafood, as it was light and not greasy. I would describe it to be similar to a tempura batter. Final Verdict:
Batter is important for fish and chips, and this was one that I liked. I would go again for the lunch sets in the future.

To end my shopping, I went to COVA for satisfy my sweet craving.

Taste & Value:
(R) Tiramisu Tart ($40) I think I'm gonna make it my goal to try all the tiramisu out there  to see if I can find one better than the one I had for my birthday last December!  The verdict is that this didn't even come close. All I can say is that it was tasteless; quite disappointing I must say.  I got so excited for nothing. Ha.(L) Dark and White Chocolate Mousse Cake ($40) In contrast, this was absolutely delicious!  It was very creamy and chocolaty. I loved it! I cheated and had more than I was supposed to. It is a possible option for a birthday cake in the future. 

Final Verdict:
Although the tiramisu was soso, I still believe that have good cakes in general. 

After a long day, I was starved so I needed some food to hold myself together.  Burger King was actually the intended destination, but why not try a new place, right?Environment & Hygiene:

I waited quite long for my order. I'm not sure if I didn't hear my number or they forgot to call it. Once the staff saw the annoying look on my face. She yelled out the number of my order. 

Taste & Value:
Pad Thai is my favourite Thai dish, so I got that. It is hard to find anything under $50 at the airport and this was $49, so quite reasonable. You can't even find a Pad Thai at this price outside actually.  To my surprise, this pad thai was quite good. Although there wasn't much for ingredients in it, the flavours were balanced, and was quite delicious. Final Verdict:
A place that you could visit if you're at the airport.  

My friend started a new job in the area and since I was off, I met up with her for lunch here. 

Environment & Hygiene:
The dark lighting created a relaxing atmosphere to chill and just enjoy food and coffee. Hygiene was okay.Service:
Okay. The server was patient with our enquiries about the lunch sets. 

Taste & Value:
Different lunch sets are available, and you get to start with soup or salad, then choose a main and finish up with coffee/tea. Me and my friend ordered different mains, but both of us started with a salad and ended with a white coffee. House Salad It was cute that it was served in a cup.  The greens were fresh, but there was a little too much dressing; they over did it with the balsamic.  Black Truffle Carbonara Very nice! The sauce was very rich and delicious. The black truffle was strong and made the already good pasta even better.  Although it was quite heavy, I really enjoyed it! Eggs Benedict (Smoked Salmon) Not bad. The hollandaise sauce was nice; we liked the noticeable lemony taste. However, both of us prefer ham over smoked salmon. White Coffee Since we didn't want to add $$ for other drinks, we didn't really have too many options and opted for this. It was really quite awful. I could barely taste the coffee; it didn't have much taste.Final Verdict:
The pasta was very good, and the hollandaise sauce was good, but everything else was just soso. 

Authentic Penang Cuisine near home! What! Seeing that the prices were fairly reasonably priced, I had to give it a visit.Environment, Hygiene & Service:
I found out that this place is run by a couple by talking to the guy who helped me out the day I visited. He was the owner's friend and was very friendly and informative. He told me what was unique about the different dishes and made recommendations.   I was told the chef/owner worked at a hotel in Malaysia before venturing out on his own, so $28-$48 for good authentic food seems like a good deal to me. This place is quite small, but they managed to fit in a few chairs inside for a quick dine in. It looked messy inside, but I do believe the hygiene is okay. I've walked by a few times since this visit, and have noticed that their menu continues to expand . 

Taste & Value:
Pineapple Baba Coconut Prawn (3 pc) with Coconut Rice ($48) This was soso. This was too tropical for my taste and the prawns were a little overcooked. The sauce was okay though, it was different. Kaptian Chicken Curry with Coconut Rice ($28) The flavours were exoctic, but mild. I personally liked the sauce above more. The chicken was tender. Both came with coconut rice, half a hard-boiled egg and slices of cucumbers. The rice was a little wet and I honestly couldn't really taste the coconut?

Pandan Drink ($10) A very unique drink that I recommend. I have never had such a drink before. The pandan was strong, so definitely try it if you're a pandan fan. However, it was quite sweet. Final Verdict:
The service was excellent, and the food was unique. I would suggest this place to a friend.
