Environment: It's a double-storey restaurant which accommodates around 80 seats. Unlike last time in Yue Kee, I had plenty of time to look around the restaurant and was able to give a little more details of its environment. The restaurant is decently decorated. Table-cloth is made of leather like material. The lighting is soft and excellent for private chat, particularly when you are on the second floor (we did reserve a table there). But there's a major flaw which, I think, was inconsistent with the main theme of the environment. There are two LCD TVs and they kept playing MTVs and Robbie WIlliams' live concert. The blasting sound and music ruined the atmosphere.
Taste: The menu is wisely designed. Basically, the whole menu is divided into 5 main parts, namely 1) cold appetizers, 2) hot appetizers, 3) soups, 4) main courses and 5) desserts. You may have a la carte order or a set dinner. There are a few combinations for the set dinner, either 3+4+5, 1+2+3+4+5 or 1 or 2+3+4+5. I had all except cold appetizer. My set included fried goose liver, sirloin, lobster soup and mango Napoleon (+ warm chocolate cake from the gal sitting on my left hand side ^o^) The goose liver would be better if it were fried for a longer time to form a more crispy surface. The lobster soup was below average. There's not lobster flavour. The desserts, however, were better than our expectation. I like the warm chocolate cake most as it wasn't too sweet which might otherwise dry up your throat. The bread (free) served was delicious too, even without olive oil and vinegar.
Service: The waiters were too green and were not able to meet customers' expectation. No olive oil, vinegar and black pepper on our table and i (instead of the waiters) had to take them from elsewhere. On the other hand, the boss was more experienced. He gave us more bread when he noticed that we emptied the bakery basket quickly.
Price: 3+4+5 costs you $148. It is only $188 for 1 to 5. Of course, you have to give a little extra for goose liver, but the extra is saying $20 only. So, it is quite reasonable to spend $200 (10% service charge included) for a dinner in Italian style.
Cleanliness: Satisfactory. The washroom, though small and compact, had been cleaned up regularly.
