So on 22 of Oct, I dined out with my friend at the Lily & Bloom. It located at the center of Lang Kwai Fong, which is very easy to locate, just a few minutes walked from central MTR. Arrived at the restaurant, it was at first glance very classy with a decorative title, 'Bloom.' We are directed to a table at the centre on the first floor. So on 22 of Oct, I dined out with my friend at the Lily & Bloom. It located at the center of Lang Kwai Fong, which is very easy to locate, just a few minutes walked from central MTR. Arrived at the restaurant, it was at first glance very classy with a decorative title, 'Bloom.' We are directed to a table at the centre on the first floor. The appearance of the restaurant as a whole gave off a cozy yet classy feeling, successfully creating a very vintage vibe with a large champange light attached to the ceiling.

We settled down and the waiter politely served us with a cold sparkling water with lemon inside and the menu as well. It was a total full set menu with cocktails, appetizer, main course and deserts. We spent a few minutes and finally ordered one full set, i.e. The Mad Hatter as cocktails, Cedar River Beek Tartare as appetizer, Chicken & Waffle as main course, Short Rib Mac N' Cheese and the sundays icecream as desert. 

First, the Mad Hatter includes ingredients like earl grey infuse four pillars dry gin, sipsmith summer cup, cardoamom, lemon, rhubarb bitters and vanilla extract. This cocktail is served with a Chinese style tea cup. I thought it will be very bitter and tastes like tea at the first sight, however, to my surprise, the cocktail tasted like orange juice with lime and citrus. It was quite sweet and tasty with a good balance and the taste of alcohol would not be too heavy as well. Great drinks! Yet, one thing I think the restaurant can improve about the Mad Hatter is that the quantity is rather small. You may need to order two to three cups before you are satisfied with it. Still, I definitely recommend this drink to all of you. Amazing!

In view of the Cedar River Beek Tartare, to my disappointment, the taste of meat is so weird which it tastes like raw meat, though it is really a raw one, but I think the texture is weird and I don't really like it. My friend thought it is ok. For the Chicken & Waffle, it was quite heavy for two girls to finish the whole set whilst for men, it was fair. The combination of chicken and waffles is quite fresh to me since it is quite special to see such combination and the texture is very new that you wil never expect something like these served together. To a contrary, the texture of the chicken is a bit dry and I suggest some sauces can be served as dishes.

What is more, the Short Rib Mac N' Cheese is very cheesy and the balance of it is quite nice. I have tried other Mac N' Cheese somewhere else and it was too over and full. All in all, the cheese is rich and it was nice to have it after the chicken.

Last, the desert sundays ice cream is the finest touch of the whole featured set menu. The ice cream is so creamy and silky with dressings on top. Served with the Mad Hatter, it was delicate and delicious.

In general, the attitude of the waiters should get complimented as they served you with real heart and they will also asked for comments and gave out a lot of information of the food. You will feel very welcomed. Besides, they are also very willing to help take photos for us as some restaurant disguised such actions. The whole set is around 900 dollars, which for a fine dining, it was acceptable. It was a nice experience and the perfect dining place for couples to have anniversary.
