俠女:近年香港掀起一股拉麵熱潮,對俠女來說絕對是開心事,因為她是個「拉麵痴」!所謂近朱者赤,愛屋及烏,俠男也漸漸迷上拉麵,獨自品嚐時,不忘跟俠女評價食物之好壞,愈吃愈專業了。俠男近期要戒牛,所以我們改為進食雞。鳥華的專長是雞白湯拉麵,標榜以雞殼熬製湯底六小時,逼出骨膠原精華,低脂健康。不過我倆通常都不太管什麼健康不健康,又不是天天吃,不見得吃完會長命百歲或立刻「入廠」。進店時感覺似曾相識,肯定在同一地方吃過烏冬,原來已經轉了手,不禁慨嘆生意難做。俠女有個習慣,初次上某拉麵店,只會點最入門的款式,因為愈簡單愈難做,最能看到拉麵師傅的真章。是次點了雞白湯拉麵,俠男則選了「極」拉麵,再追加芝麻雞翼和餃子。拉麵碗口是個打斜隨圓型,有點花巧,不是我杯茶。且嚐嚐湯底味道如何,果然雞湯味濃,但湯頭黃澄澄的,不算白。麵質是一般東京拉麵,跟湯底頗合襯,伴以雞叉燒,還是第一次吃,效果不錯。俠男那碗則比較講究,附上一塊檸檬,檸檬汁混在湯底,清新獨特,算是反傳統的成功之作。餃子味道有點怪,是甜的,自己一向不太喜歡甜的主菜,俠男反覺中和了拉麵的鹹味。雞翼只屬一般,沒有太大驚喜。這次俠男不可吃流心蛋,有點泄氣。親

拉麵碗口
是個打斜隨圓型,有點花巧,不是我杯茶。且嚐嚐湯底味道如何,果然雞湯味濃,但湯頭黃澄澄的,不算白。麵質是一般東京拉麵,跟湯底頗合襯,伴以雞叉燒,還是第一次吃,效果不錯。

餃子味道有點怪
,是甜的
,自己一向不太喜歡甜的主菜,俠男反覺中和了拉麵的鹹味。雞翼只屬一般,沒有太大驚喜。

這次俠男不可吃流心蛋,有點泄氣。親愛的,沒關係,下個月我們再戰拉麵,狂吃流心蛋吧!


The Hero:

Japanese ramen has been one of my favorites.
I was getting more and more opportunities to taste and know more about its different varieties when I met Ms Adorable.
This time, we tried one of the exotic ramen styles in Torihana from Hong Kong.


Torihana unlike other ramen style such as Kyushu or Tokyo, the soup base is not made of pork bones or miso but they use chicken as soup base. So the shop is a place for chicken lovers.


Adorable told me this place has been renovated from an udon shop to a ramen shop as she has been here before. The shop however was quite famous as Keanu Reeves has visited the shop for ramen!!
You can see his photos taken outside the shop during his visit there before.


We had ordered two types of ramen: 1) The normal chicken booth ramen, 2) The “Supreme” ramen 3) Sesame Chicken wings and 4) Chicken dumplings.

The bowl used to contain the ramen is a circular bowl that is specially made, I think the style of the bowl
is a fun but as Adorable is a traditional ramen fanatic, she is not fond of it. The chicken booth is very concentrated and the soup is yellow in color. The noodle quality is of the standard Tokyo style different from the thin style for Kyushu ramen. The ramen comes with sliced chicken pieces which is quite exotic to us.


My Supreme ramen came and the difference was that it came with lemon juice used in the ramen.
The idea was very exotic
and when put into application, the ramen became very fresh due to the lemon juice in the soup base.
The dumplings however were even more exotic. We can not imagine that dumplings here are sweet in taste
which is different from traditional dumplings made. It was perfect with the ramen where the taste is strong. Nevertheless, there is nothing special about the chicken wings, its just chicken wings!

The shop is an exotic shop, its good for food adventurers
who always want to try new things but if you are a traditionalist, you will hate this shop!
