Trendy Taste (灣仔)

At first, I'm looking for a place to host a farewell party for friends. Due to the consideration of many activities that my friends requested- sing K, alcohol, play till late at night... after a bit of research, and a friend's recommendation, Trendy Taste is the place I selected to host the farewell party.I booked 2 weeks in advance (It'll give myself plenty of time for event preparation)...It's very nice that I can made an early visit to the restaurant and have a clear glance at their VIP room, food, service, catering area etc. The boss was very nice gentleman indeed, and he made various generous offer to me that suppose not to have - open till 0100, free seafood platter etc...

The VIP room although seem a bit small for my liking, it still can take the capacity if about 25 ppls, it also consist of many items that entertained us - an electronic mahjong table, karaoke, card games, broad games...Although the air conditions of the VIP room certainly need improving, nevertheless, we did enjoy ourselves very nicely indeed! The food was very nice, tasty and of a very high standard - my friend still mentioning how delicious the food were - especially the seafood - curry crabs, raw prawns, bbq fishs... - are very delicious.

I particular like the curry crab, lots of meet inside the crab and the curry was will herb-ed. satay skewers, grilled fish... those are very tasty and nice.

Overall we had a very enjoyable evening - the place, the food, the service, are at a very good standard and in the end...the price...total of $4564 for 19 people which is not bad at all ($240 per person).

If anyone is looking for a place to host any form of party, as well as a place which is not as common as others (Thai buffet party are rare in HK), Trendy Taste certainly can consider a highly ranked little restaurant!

Some of my friends find it difficult to get to Trendy Taste as it is hidden in a residential building, nevertheless the giant billboard on the street should give some indications on how to get to it!

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, however the external corridors, lifts are an absolute embarrassment. Only I can console myself that it situated on the 3rd floor of an ageing residential building....

大蕃茄 (油麻地)

今天在廟街,我不為意地俾大蕃茄店面門楣的巨大蕃茄caught my attention! 哈哈...所以決定在這兒食過晚餐店舖地方細細,但好企理,好新淨...我叫個吉列豬扒蕃茄湯麫,個麫分量我覺得也許小d,但是湯是無油,而且仲有蕃茄肉,又食不出味精,個湯底睇嚟是真材實料由新鮮蕃茄煮出來!!
吉列豬扒亦是新鮮,剛剛炸好,所以好熱氣,但是這間店真的...食物真材實料,零味精,味道或賣相亦不錯,而且價格ok (通脹以及舖租 - 在廟街&文明里十字路口位) $30 (+凍ot = $37) 都非常合理總之,食家們,一試無妨

露天池畔餐廳 (灣仔)

My boss suddenly propose a buffet party because one of our staff is leaving...gosh a Grand Hyatt dinner buffet! This is a dream come true!

And it didn't disappoint us, the atmosphere is great, pool side buffet is always can create a luxury atmosphere. The selection of meat and mustard also caught my attentions, despite it's real expensive (doesn't matter as my boss paid for everyone, in the the bill comes to something like $10000) it's a good buffet overall.

The fact the the huge variety of food to choose from makes it impossible for anyone to feel unsatisfying. I particular like the roast meat and the huge variety of mustard makes a already juicy roast beef even better!

Also I like the smoked salmon and prawns, it's fresh and in excellent quality!

It didn't let Grand Hyatt's reputation down, as a 5*hotel

功夫點心 (天后)

在大球場睇完阿仙奴對傑志...步行到天后食晚飯...但是周圍都人山人海, , 我和朋友步行到永興街,幸好功夫點心不用等候位, 所以決定...飲茶!

但是,d 點心真的好好食,尤其是葱油餅,雖然好油,但賣相亦相當筆唔錯, 價格又合理, 好抵食!!

茶(香片)也好香,我覺得比酒樓更好飲

店內設計好有心思, 服務都好好, 是一間價廉物美的食肆!

發記甜品 (旺角)

一個心太軟要等成40分鐘!??

First of all, I think it's totally ridiculous to wait for a 心太軟 for 40mins...and it's too expensive, NOT WORTH to have another try...

Away from 心太軟, its 楊枝甘露 and 榴槤飄香 is great. Worth a try

Overall, I can only rate this is a place for a quick dessert and quick rest
