前後來過這兒吃午飯兩次,感覺溫馨小品,有住家感覺。前菜我極力推介他們的Caesar Salad,一般來說我都不會在香港前菜點Caesar Salad,因為用料少,而且份量也少。這兒的Caesar Salad以切粒的Bacon和流心蛋調味,流心程度倒不錯,比很多日本拉面舖弄得好。主菜方面,上次點了是日煎魚,真的是一整條魚上菜,很足料,一個人一定吃不完;很有住家感覺,又令我回想起在希臘海邊點Sea Brass 鱸魚的片段。今次點了南瓜意大利飯。煮法比較傳統,飯較硬身,有口感,適合愛吃一粒粒米口感的人,但切記不要狼咽虎嚥,否則容易胃痛。份量對女孩子來說剛剛好,男人則可能不夠。南瓜鮮甜,但我個人來說還是較夠軟熟一點的意大利飯。魚稍勝一籌。另外,我再額外加了HKD38多點一個甜品,是日甜品是梨子TART,感覺清新,有 Home Made的感覺,不怕太甜,好吃!

今次點了南瓜意大利飯。煮法比較傳統,飯較硬身,有口感,適合愛吃一粒粒米口感的人,但切記不要狼咽虎嚥,否則容易胃痛。份量對女孩子來說剛剛好,男人則可能不夠。南瓜鮮甜,但我個人來說還是較夠軟熟一點的意大利飯。魚稍勝一籌。

另外,我再額外加了HKD38多點一個甜品,是日甜品是梨子TART,感覺清新,有 Home Made的感覺,不怕太甜,好吃!

好耐無去食,本來打算食下蔬菜,點知縮水了明明記得之前黎食係半棵菜好完整咁上,但而家得番幾條,不過味道都係咁新鮮特別係隻糖心蛋,一流幸好主菜無變,一大塊五成熟牛扒不生不熟剛剛好,入口有鮮牛肉味,又唔會鞋呢個價錢,有咁既質素,加埋環境,算好好啦

幸好主菜無變,一大塊五成熟牛扒
不生不熟剛剛好,入口有鮮牛肉味,又唔會鞋

I have probably passed by this unassuming restaurant many times whenever I go to Gough Street, but I usually go there to eat at the local joints nearby like Kau Kee and Sing Heung Yuen. As one of my friend recommended this restaurant, I decided to come here for lunch when I was meeting up with some girlfriends. Apparently, the owner and chef of On Lot 10 has worked in Alain Ducasse’s restaurants in the US and Monaco, and serves casual French cuisine without all the frills and high price tags. Indeed, the decor was plain and simple while the lunch sets were very reasonable with 2 courses ranging from $118-$138.
We were given some bread and butter to start with. The baguette was obviously store-bought but at least was warmly toasted. There was nothing special about the bread or butter though.

Romaine Lettuce (4/5) - I was impressed with the size of this salad! It's huge! The Caesar salad was refreshingly delicious with bacon bits and salty sardines on top of whole romaine leaves while adorned with a gorgeous half-boiled egg on top. I'm usually not a fan of sardines but it went really well with the flavors here. The only thing was that I couldn't finish all of my lettuce because there was so much!

Potato Gnocchi (2.5/5) - I love love love gnocchi so I decided to go for it when I saw it on the menu. Served with sweet corn and mushroom cream sauce, the gnocchi was unfortunately very disappointing with its mushy texture and boring flavors. I prefer my gnocchi to be a bit chewy and bouncy or at least solid on the outside with a soft interior, but the ones here were just lumpy and soggy. The sauce wasn't half bad but nothing exciting either. Man I sure miss my favorite gnocchi at Jane's in NYC.

Coffee or tea was included in the meal as well but not lattes apparently so I ended up ordering a regular hot coffee. It was pretty decent with a strong aroma and flavor.

Verdict - I wasn't very impressed with the food at On Lot 10 especially given the fierce competition and copious choices nearby for French cuisine. The service could also be better as the dishes came out really slow while the table next to us got their dishes first even though we had ordered way earlier. The staff wasn't that friendly or patient either when my friend wanted to ask questions about the food since there were some things she couldn't eat. Perhaps dinner may better here but with the slow and standoffish service, but I'm not sure if there is a reason for me to come back.

歌賦街的法式小館 On Lot 10 是本地大廚 David Lai 旗下其中一間食肆, (On Lot 10, Kushiyaki Beco, Bistronomique Staunton) 三間在中上環, (Bistronomique,, Boulangerie Bistronomique) 二間在堅尼地城, 合共有五間, 也有同樣在堅尼地城的高級肉品專賣店 Bistronomique Boucherie, 看着其不斷加開新店, 其生意頭腦及食物水準應該相當不俗。筆者到訪 On Lot 10 已多次, '白屋仔'的印象很深刻, 加上有差不多半年沒有到此品嘗法菜, 於是和友人到此看其在多開分店後其水準如何。侍者安排筆者和友人在二樓用餐, 下層比二樓進餐面積細一半, 其實全間餐廳也不大, 內裏同樣以白色為主調, 簡約的設計, 並裝有窗台, 可看到中環歌賦街地面的情況, 但看不到同樣在歌賦街的人氣熱店九記牛腩及勝香園。Set Lunch 價格不是固定, 而不同菜色在二十元內上落, 印象中菜單不是經常改變。先上麵包 , 有先加熱, 但口感太硬, 水準一般, 加上牛油後也不算好。是日餐湯為

此次午餐魚類份量對男士可能有點不足, 加上前菜是少了一點, 看見其他食客點扒類的主菜份量相當大塊, 心想下次再來時試下;而說回其水準則保持沒有因多開分店下出問題, 可惜食物在SOHO 區的法國菜餐廳中來說是欠了點特色, 但在價格平易近人的情況下不能要求太多, 加上看得岀每道菜是用心處理和有誠意, 可以一試。

賣相十分吸引,半隻溫泉蛋置頂,狀甚搶眼
底部的羅馬生菜,份量多,還有煙肉及麵包粒,再配以酸酸的沙律醬
羅馬生菜爽脆,拌勻蛋汁後味道層次就更豐富

龍利魚柳鮮美嫩滑,佐以稠身的白汁特別匹配,還有粒粒果仁碎,層次更豐富
底部則是軟腍的白豆,吸盡了香濃的白汁,味道更美
兩隻大蜆卻不太新鮮,味道有點腥,還吃到砂粒哩!

選了Medium Rare,切開是紅紅的肉質,效果令人滿意
牛扒厚薄適中,質感煙韌,富肉香,略嫌肉汁較少,會覺得較乾身
不要錯過那薯蓉,質地幼滑,味道甜美,是伴碟良物!

熱咖啡熱檸茶各一
咖啡聞落挺香,帶一點果香,質素不俗
反而熱檸茶則較味淡,要到樓下勝香園偷師

是回小試牛刀,水準不俗
即使將來告別中環,也是值得再專程到訪的餐廳哩~

後來,有一對夫婦來了,女的父母也隨之而來,看來有甚麼值得慶祝,她的爸爸帶來了一枝一九六幾年的紅酒,標籤也十分殘舊,發黃得像燒過的痕跡。酒師嗅嗅酒香,然後再思考該怎樣處理。有一天,如果我面對昂貴的法國餐可以無動於衷,我會變成另一種人嗎?我會捨棄我的簡樸生活嗎?值得思考的是,他們自由,還是我們自由?標準答案是,每個人都有自己的生活方式,最重要是樂在其中。
的確,昂貴是這刻,將來是一杯怎樣的酒呢?

我看應該不止我把On Lot 10和Gough 40兩間相鄰的白色小餐廳搞混了吧。一頭衝進對面的Gough 40後才發現搞錯了,只好默默走回對面。十二點半的On Lot 10客人不多,還算寧靜。我們很快分別點了南瓜湯、雜菌意大利飯配露筍和香煎鰽魚柳。最後還加上是日甜品—梨撻。南瓜湯有點太甜了,不是外邊常看到鮮橙色的稠稠的那種,反而口感較淡,南瓜味不重。還是那句,太甜了。雜菌意大利飯配露筍很好吃,只早旁邊的露筍有點燒焦了。用上圓滾滾的米粒煮成的意大利飯帶濃郁的奶油味,和半熟的流心蛋混在一起吃,口感很好。野菌味重,香味溢出,質感略帶煙韌。香煎鰽魚柳同樣好吃,比上次在The Pawn吃的腥魚好一千倍,賣相也更有心思。魚皮炸得不油膩、頗薄脆。魚肉很嫩滑,汁多味鮮。值得一試。梨撻應該是小店親手烘的,切成細片的梨子甜而香,蛋糕也很鬆化,甜度適中,驚喜之作。跟餐的咖啡很濃,但沒有酸味,不錯好喝。除了南瓜湯外,其他菜式很值得試試。

There was a full house when I arrived at 1pm but the dishes came fairly quickly. The price was decent for a 2 course meal and it comes with coffee or tea. The lunch menu itself changese every month (I was looking forward to the salmon but it wasn't on this month's menu, maybe next time
).

The bread was still warm when served but I find it a bit blend and doughy--tasted a little bit like sourdough and very chewy. It was hard to pull apart

Huge fan of their caesar salad which comes in whole romaine leaves. The perfectly poached egg and anchovies made it that much more special compared to other typical caesars. Would come back just for this salad!

I ordered the panfried sole fillet in butter & herb sauce and I liked it very much. A thick cut of fillet that tasted very buttery and flavorful. However, if you have a large appetite, this portion might not hit the spot for you (order the steak, it's HUGE)

My friend ordered the fresh sea bream right from the market. I tasted it and it was FRESH--not the fishy type fresh, but the comforting freshness like the taste of the ocean. My friend liked the tomato salsa that came with the fish but she did complain that there were alot of bones. So it did take her a little longer than others to finish her main course (if you have a short lunch time, do not order this)

Another friend orderd the braised pork belly with mash. It was soft and tender infused with alot fo rich flavors. If you don't mind a fatty piece of meat, this is absolutely delicious. The mash itself was very creamy--almost to a point like soup! Everyone liked that alot


Overall, a very chilled lunch with nice food and a comfortable environment. Will definitely revisit again to try out their steak (saw the dish from other people's table and it looked scrumptious) and mash again

早前來到在中環歌賦街的On Lot 10吃午餐。這裡午市套餐2-course $108,加湯或甜品自製3-course都只需要另加$35。頭盤可三選一,主菜可四選一,還有咖啡或茶。我選的是2-course的,頭盤選了南瓜湯而主菜選了三文魚配雜菜(把本來的中東米改成了雜菜)。餐廳裝修簡約,以白色為主,加上窗外透進來的自然光,身處其中很舒服自在,跟晚餐的氣氛很不一樣。餐湯香甜濃滑,是喝得出的用料足。可惜麵包就偏乾和硬,很一般。接著主菜的三文魚柳煎得皮脆的同時肉質嫩又甜美多汁,好吃。雜菜和bacon粒配著帶點淡甜的忌廉白汁,鮮甜又健康。咖啡雖然奶泡打得粗疏,味道尚算香但偏苦,喝了幾口就放棄了。這午餐的餐湯和主菜都水準不錯,店內氣氛亦適合上班族中午出來鬆一鬆,定價亦合理,難怪全店滿座。

The presentation, components, flavour and quality of this signature salad has not changed for the last 3 years, at least. Probably more. Since M went for the salad, I thought I would have the alternative instead. I though I should broaden my palate so I went for the not-so-adventurous raw salmon starter. Graviax or gravlax means raw salmon cured with salt, sugar and dill. It was fresh, soft and chilled. I liked the horseradish cream, which had a bit of kick,, but was very creamy and delicious. It went together pretty well with the salmon. I put a bit on the bread basket - mm yum.

M ordered this. It had a deliciously golden color and was quite tender and moist. Sadly it was a bit raw near the leg joint. The baked macaroni wasn't too salty, nor was it too heavy. It wasn't extremely cheese-laden. Didn't try the gravy.

I ordered this. Spotted people at the next table devouring this delicious catch. Couldn't help myself. I love cooked fish. It is only natural that I almost single-handedly devoured this fish, only offering M a small piece off the back. Heh.
the tomato sauce 'vierge' - that is, A French sauce made from olive oil, lemon juice, chopped tomato and chopped basil. The ingredients sound simple and basic enough, but somehow it was extremely delicious. There was a deep sweetness which created an almost velvety texture in the mouth. The fish itself was under-seasoned, but the tomato sauce made it just right. I also asked for a small dish of (sea) salt and sprinkled some on my fish. The salt brought out the freshness of the fish. It made the fish taste less bland. Could easily share this entire fish between two.

Have always been impressed by the quality of risotto at On Lot 10. The grains were not too chewy and there were no undercooked grains. I like risotto cooked that way. The generous parmesan shavings on top gave the risotto a delicate savoury flavour. Mushrooms could be cooked better though.

Equally tasty, different value for money. We are lucky to have gotten such a generous helping to share! Both of us loved the crust. Although the waiter told us it was a choice between lemon tart and chocolate tart, the fact that we had relied on his misrepresentation did not cause any detriment - both of us were up for a nice fruity sweet slice of almond pear tart. By almond I mean it was made with ground almond. More sophisticated than using plain cake flour. It was slightly heavier than the normal cake, but was delicious. The cake bit is not too sweet because the tinned pears (in syrup) gave the tart all the sweetening it needed. The crust was brittle and mildly sweet. Could throw in a pinch of salt next time!

Conclusion:
I will be back.
Such a good deal.

我叫咗件sirloin medium cooked,其實應該要叫medium rare,因為件扒薄身,我嫌佢熟咗少少。肉味系濃嘅,以咁嘅價錢我覺得已經好okay。伴碟的薯仔我俾咗同事食,佢話好好食。

我地叫咗凍檸茶,甜度剛剛好。不過我覺得可以糖漿另上,因為個個人接受的甜度唔同。

咁嘅價錢有咁嘅食物素質真系好唔錯,特別系叫牛扒會好抵,如果系蘭桂坊或者soho應該要再貴啲。

此店另一特色是門口塊空地中午必有一班大叔踢毽
我都唔知幾耐系香港無見過人踢毽

看了網上好評, 見埋flickr經常有on lot 10 彈出, 又打極都訂不到位。 驚又好似 marmite 那樣中招, 去到門口都要度一大輪, 睇下滿不滿呢, 一個套餐二道菜連coffee, 有四個choice, 差不多全部野都試晒, 雞肝叫過得去, 菜好味, 好爽, 四個主菜要晒, 四冷扒咁既price 幾超值, 三文魚廚功好掂, 但限於成本問題, 魚味差少許, 意大利飯南瓜味好夠, 豬腩肉都幾好咁, 真是有點不懂, 但我覺得幾超值. 甜品和湯各另加三十五元,咖啡不夠gold by harlan 咁入味。

-個材料配搭有點中式
-法式鴨,配以大大"舊"嘅白蘿蔔
-另又有西方元素,+埋浸過勁酒嘅車厘子,柚子同埋個汁
-上枱時,已將鴨肉起件,皮嘅脂肪不厚,肉嫩,未至於好滑,但1d都唔"鞋",juicy,很有鴨禽味,但唔喺over嗰隻
-蘿蔔腍,無筋,清甜,因為個汁很西方,小甜酸,有酒味,所以結合上蘿蔔之後有點複雜,但唔難接受
-第1次食到咁中式嘅材料,好西式嘅煮法,用料都好優質,很好的見識

-pan很大,飯淺身,海鮮有蜆,青口,紅蝦,斬件雞骹位
-飯用上海鮮肴嘅上湯去煮............鮮味非常濃,因為淺身關係,可以煮出微焦,"痴"底,有點咬口
-蝦肉爽,帶鮮
-之後又1見識就喺紅蝦頭內嘅蝦膏...........份量唔多,我都喺又薄又軟嘅頭殼度刮出嚟..............佢唔喺水汪汪,亦唔喺硬實..............入口後,鮮味過後..........有點甘...........而且仲好"漿"住條脷..........就算飲水都沖唔走嗰股強大嘅"漿"力...........你會感到好似1層coating咁隔開咗味蕾同口腔嘅接觸.........即喺令味蕾遲鈍了.........未曾試過食蝦膏會有咁嘅效果同感覺.............雖然"漿"住條脷嘅感覺唔太好...........但好神奇小小蝦膏可以爆發出咁強大嘅力量

The restaurants is decorated in all white in high fashion way and abviously be the girls pick (1st floor only got 4 tables and all occupied by girls during the lunch). Main course (spring chicken, mushroom risotto, stewed salmon, beef sirlon). I pick up rare selection, beef sirlon and requested medium raw. Steak is huge again served with some vegetables and potatos. However, it's really over-cooked, almost 90% done. A bit disappointing.

Coffee is strong and smooth.

We are very full after 3 course lunch and do not order extra dessert ($28).

Service is good and considerate. Except for the well-done steak, else all good to me.
