因為Pasta Mio就近公司附近,所以買定張團購券睇門口,遇有家中無飯開過嚟用咗佢,又或外賣帶返屋企食都得!又喺拖拖吓去到近換領限期尾先用,好彩趕得徹,無蝕。依次團購內容喺:$25 Pasta Mio自選 Fit Size經典醬汁意大利粉一客連飲品(價值 $50),店家嘅醬汁原有共10款選擇,不過團購都提供4款:Pomodoro、Arrabbiata、Chicken、Melanzana,單睇個名就真喺佢識我,我唔識佢,不過,店旁一張巨型海報除價錢、意粉種類之外,醬汁自然都有所介紹,大可按圖索驥。意粉方面,全店應共有8款,而團購亦有5款供選擇:Farfalle、Fusilli、Penne、Gnocchi、Strozzaperti,唔知喺點樣,唔喺問題喎,一來張海報有圖畫,二來櫥窗之上又有實物,以小杯盛載,絕對唔會懞查查唔知自己點咗乜。Gnocchi + Melanzana份量分為正常REG(300克)或健怡FIT(200克),團購嘅當然喺後者啦。一切以紙盒盛載,唔好睇佢細細盒,一個可樂罐高度,其實都幾墜手,裡面填滿晒Gnocchi同個醬汁,面面仲灑咗一大把芝士粉同香草碎,賣相都頗吸引。

Gnocchi + Melanzana

份量分為正常REG(300克)或健怡FIT(200克),團購嘅當然喺後者啦。一切以紙盒盛載,唔好睇佢細細盒,一個可樂罐高度,其實都幾墜手,裡面填滿晒Gnocchi同個醬汁,面面仲灑咗一大把芝士粉同香草碎,賣相都頗吸引。Gnocchi喺用麵粉或馬鈴薯做嘅丸子,如果上網摷摷,就會出到好多唔同嘅中文譯名,多數都喺意譯,例如:意式馬鈴薯丸子、意式土豆球、意大利土豆麵疙瘩、意大利薯波……。口感喺點?成舊波波都喺實心,好似食緊未烚透嘅薯仔蛋咁,可能真喺煮得唔夠透,感覺實淨咗啲,食唔出其他食家食到嘅煙煙韌韌,唯一喺好飽肚啫;而醬汁Melanzana喺用蕃茄、燒茄子、布旺倫芝士煮成,事實上個汁底蕃茄味幾濃幾鮮活,汁內有粒粒嘅燒茄子,添加口感,如無記錯第一次食布旺倫芝士(provolone cheese)喺晌中環Tango,屬味濃嘅芝士一種,再加埋啲巴馬臣芝士粉就變得個汁過鹹
,否則個醬汁應該濃香兼備,只好靠罐可樂解解鹹。所以,趕得徹用埋個團購,卻又未必一定喺好事囉!

我選擇晌店外嘅小枱度食,食完先慢慢走,喺食嘅十零廿分鐘時間裡面,都未見再有客幫襯過,幾個店員都只好閒談渡日。近排再經過,見到成間鋪圍咗板已經被人拆散晒,唔知佢確實幾時摺咗
。都喺舊年年中先開檔,都喺捱得一年多,記得開檔初期唔少傳媒報導,賣點主打喺從意大利運來新鮮手製意大利粉每周空運抵港,配以正宗醬汁,做出高品質嘅意大利粉。意大利粉種類款式多且特別,坊間少見,醬汁自家調配,個性獨特,又大玩Mix & Match自由配。估唔到就咁玩完,一雞死,一雞鳴,唔知將開嘅新店又賣咩呢?又會頂得幾耐呢?

這是早一個多星期吃的午餐,同事很早前買了團購,好像是$25買原價$50的意粉餐。套餐包了一份pasta和一罐汽水,汽水就沒有興趣了,pasta倒想試試,讓我可以偷師,做些新菜色。因為沒太多選擇,所以大家都選了Gnocchi + Melanzana (tomato+grilled eggplant+provolone cheese) 和雪碧。很意外Gnocchi不用加錢呢,其他那幾款粉頖經常都吃,實在不想在外也吃!!未打開前,以為會很乾,每粒Gnocchi都黏在一起;打開後,原來很多汁,可以放心進食了。因為充滿了醬汁,所以Gnocchi沒有黏在一起,煙煙韌韌很好吃而味道方面,用了大量蕃茄製作,蕃茄味十分濃郁,味道都不錯;咸香的芝士味令人真的愛不釋手,芝士的份量也可接受。如果可以有些肉粒就好了,只有芝士蕃茄和Gnocchi實在太齋了......................吃著這個,令我想起上次在Munch也吃Gnocchi,那個Gnocch收我$158+10%,而這個則只需$25(即使原價也只$38),分別在於前者多了7隻蝦;那7隻蝦應該不需$100吧。總結這個團購餐不錯,份量充足,即

未打開前,以為會很乾,每粒Gnocchi都黏在一起;打開後,原來很多汁,可以放心進食了。
因為充滿了醬汁,所以Gnocchi沒有黏在一起,煙煙韌韌很好吃
而味道方面,用了大量蕃茄製作,蕃茄味十分濃郁,味道都不錯;咸香的芝士味令人真的愛不釋手,芝士的份量也可接受。
如果可以有些肉粒就好了,只有芝士蕃茄和Gnocchi實在太齋了......................

吃著這個,令我想起上次在Munch也吃Gnocchi,那個Gnocch收我$158+10%,而這個則只需$25(即使原價也只$38),分別在於前者多了7隻蝦;那7隻蝦應該不需$100吧。總結這個團購餐不錯,份量充足,即使原價也不貴,不妨一試。而一向食量驚人的我,起初以為FIT size會不夠飽,但盛得很滿的,而Gnocchi又很滯膩,吃完後很飽呢。

在團購網站被這店的外賣盒所吸引,所以便買了這店的團購卷。今天去換領意粉套餐,我選了Gnocchi配雞肉醬。很喜歡這店外賣盒的設計。打開外賣盒,發現意粉上面有一塊細小的東西,味道有點咸,大概是Parmesan吧。意粉汁帶有濃濃的香草味,Gnocchi也煮得恰到好處。看過其他食評,本來對這店不抱太大其望,但這店的意粉汁真的給我帶來了驚喜! Mama Mia!

很喜歡這店外賣盒的設計。打開外賣盒,發現意粉上面有一塊細小的東西,味道有點咸,大概是Parmesan吧。意粉汁帶有濃濃的香草味,Gnocchi也煮得恰到好處。
看過其他食評,本來對這店不抱太大其望,但這店的意粉汁真的給我帶來了驚喜! Mama Mia!

我就揀左雞汁味蝴蝶粉,只得雞汁味先至有肉,其餘的醬汁冇肉
。細細個盒載住D意粉,意粉面放左好多芝士粉,芝士粉撈埋D雞汁味一齊食特別香。雞汁味有好濃的蕃茄味,汁中仲帶少少辣都算幾好味
。醬汁份量尚可接受,亦都係成個意粉的靈魂,否則蝴蝶粉冇味。食到差唔多底都仲有唔少汁,如果D醬汁稠少少會更好。

Two of us wanted to have a quick casual pasta for lunch. There was no one at the counter at first. We waited about 1 or 2 minutes before anyone showed up. Even though it was a dine in option, the pasta still came in take away boxes and disposable wear. We wouldn't expect more from what seems to be a fast food joint but the food was something to be remembered. The pesto sauce was about 75% made of parmesan and apart from a few greenish herbs, the remainder was oil (about 1 inch deep). The arrabia

We are huge fans of spicy food, frequenting Thai, Sichuanese, Korean restaurants on a regular basis. But this sauce was beyond fiery and we had to regrettably toss it out. Disastrous pretty much sums it up.

到中環瞎逛,機緣巧合之下約到一位好友共進晚餐,結果在中環上班的她給我介紹了這間吃Pasta的小吃店剛去到的時候,我站著看Menu,心中是有一點苦惱因為Pasta和Sauce是可以隨喜好搭配的結果就是每一樣都想吃Pasta和Sauce的選擇是各10種,還有其他甜品可以吃呢還好店家還挺貼心,他們有一些已經搭配好的應該會令很多人免除不少麻煩,而當中有一個就是我!它是一間open kitchen的店,我們坐的位置正好對著廚房就這樣看真的毫無頭緒,點來吃最實際我點了這個Fiocchi Carbonara,是白汁低,有少許煙肉,這個Pasta有點像雲吞的形狀,裡面包著的是芝士粉而上面亦有一層厚厚的芝士粉蓋面,材料可算是十足喜歡芝士白汁的朋友我定會推介這個,因為味道真的很濃郁,絕對不會有淡的感覺我配了餐吃,還有juice和beer的,但夏天就是要來一罐coke才行這是好友點的Gnocchi Pomodoro,茄汁味很濃,這個味道會比較起芝士白汁會輕一點在天氣還沒有熱到要把人溶掉的溫度來說還滿舒服,跟朋友聊天很適合不過有點遺憾的是店比較早就要關門了十點多就有店員跟我們說要關門了下次來吃的時候真的要早一

我點了這個Fiocchi Carbonara,是白汁低,有少許煙肉,
這個Pasta有點像雲吞的形狀,裡面包著的是芝士粉
而上面亦有一層厚厚的芝士粉蓋面,材料可算是十足
喜歡芝士白汁的朋友我定會推介這個,因為味道真的很濃郁,絕對不會有淡的感覺

這是好友點的Gnocchi Pomodoro,茄汁味很濃,
這個味道會比較起芝士白汁會輕一點

在天氣還沒有熱到要把人溶掉的溫度來說還滿舒服,跟朋友聊天很適合
不過有點遺憾的是店比較早就要關門了
十點多就有店員跟我們說要關門了
下次來吃的時候真的要早一點才行

星期一夜晚黎. 去到發覺一個客都冇. 舖仔細細, 但都有兩張outdoor二人檯. 近排的天氣坐佢度食都ok, 但到夏天坐響出面仲要食pasta應該唔掂. 揀左farfalle意粉, melanzana 醬 (即蕃茄+芝士+茄子). 叫左fit size. 跟餐有salad同一罐soft drink.Salad 係事先整好, 一盒響雪櫃拿出黎. 得生菜同蕃茄. 有d水份. 盒pasta好快黎. 份量比想像中多. 意粉比al dente淋d (可能佢見我係中國人專登煮耐d?), 但都ok. 醬唔夠多, 撈晒都會耐唔耐食到冇醬的意粉. 不過都算夠料, 味都ok. 芝士唔夠 (利申: I love cheese), 可能要叫double cheese.總結: 原本懷疑fit size會唔夠食. 餐廳係標榜正宗意大利粉,所以有好多意大利粉的選擇。不過今次係買團購食的,原價要68,團購價就3x。因為如果一個意粉68唔跟飲品,雖然位置於中環,但我都唔會選擇。同埋,附近其實都有好多好好味的舊式或港式美食。首次講講意大利粉,有可宗的感覺,因為食時意粉有D硬身。叫左一個辣肉蕃茄意粉同白汁磨菇意粉意粉的送唔係太多,只係杯面送的份量。煮意粉前,會先磅一碗重,再煮。辣肉蕃茄意粉:應該幾辣,因為食得辣的朋友都頂唔順。食完朋友無評價,可能因為醬其實都係一樣味白汁磨菇意粉:餐牌有好多野都唔am我,所以叫左佢。好奶味,因為我唔好奶,所以都好唔慣。有些安慰係食左個蝴蝶粉,好似未食過我地買的係最大份量,大約有兩盒細檸檬茶咁大,但食完都有空虛的感覺。所以轉場吧。食的地方係露天,但旁邊唔係馬路。所以無食廢氣情況,基本上我見都係西人為主。如果上食正宗意大利粉都可以試下呢度,但如果想食正宗已又好食的意大利粉,就要考慮下啦...

意粉的送唔係太多,只係杯面送的份量。煮意粉前,會先磅一碗重,再煮。
辣肉蕃茄意粉:應該幾辣,因為食得辣的朋友都頂唔順。食完朋友無評價,可能因為醬其實都係一樣味

白汁磨菇意粉:餐牌有好多野都唔am我,所以叫左佢。好奶味,因為我唔好奶,所以都好唔慣。有些安慰係食左個蝴蝶粉,好似未食過

I ordered the chicken, tomato, rosemary pasta with wholemeal pasta and it was not a pleasant experience. The pasta was the roughest wholemeal pasta I've had. I know wholemeal pasta is not as smooth as normal pasta, but this one was dotted with visible bits of fibre with a rough mouth-feel. The sauce had bits of plant fibre in it which had to be picked out as they were not edible (not sure what it was, it looked like the stalk of something). There was very little chicken, diced into tiny cube

That was my first and only time. I might consider giving them a second chance to see if it's a one off bad experience, but I would definitely not order the chicken, or the wholemeal pasta

Then in the dormitory days, started to come across cheese macaroni, spaghettini, fettucine, canneloni and my favourite lasagna

As the italian cuisine started to take a foothold in the local gourmet industry in recent years, more and more varieties of pasta were introduced into HK.
First came ravioli, angel hair, fussili, inguini, penne followed by lots of other varieties -- short pastas like gnocchi and orecchiette; long pastas like farfelle and pappardelle; and stuffed pastas like tortellini ....
However, a lot of these pastas were available mainly in specialty italian groceries or in higher end italian restaurants. And to be honest, I have only heard of the names of many, like gnocchi, orecchiette and tortellini, but hadvenever tried them.
That was the scene until Pasta Mio came into the picture.

Tucked under the mid-levels escalator at Cochrane St, Pasta Mio operates much like a fast food store specializing in pastas. Fast, made-to-order and ready-to-go were the main features of the shop. It also has a few seats, probably less than 10, outside the store but with a shade to protect customers from the sun.

The place offers 10 different types of pastas and 10 different sauces. The sauce was really different combinations of tomato, cream, cheese, mushrooms, herbs and cold cuts. But the choice of pasta and sauce add up to a great combination of meals, perhaps only limited by one's imagination.

You select the pasta first, then the sauce, then the texture/consistency especially if you prefer tender rather than al dente pasta, followed by the size and any add-ons (extra cheese etc).

The food is ready in 10 minutes after order.

This is my first bite of tortellini. The tortellini has a spinach and cheese filling and a lot smaller than raviolis. The sauce was light and refreshing, topped by a layer of parmesan cheese. The serving was really generous. Ours is a regular size order and it must have over 10 tortellinis.

The sauce is made of tomato, cream, ham and mushrooms. The fusilli was al dente and the serving was generous. However, the sauce was bit short and could barely coat the fusilli. Again, the pasta was topped with a layer of parmesan that made the whole meal a lot tastier.

The sauce is tomato and bacon. Again the sauce was short. This is my first time trying gnocchi. Honestly, I found it a bit too chewy. Heard that the pasta was made from a mix of flour and potato. So it was very filling to the stomach but personally, I'd prefer the more traditional al dente pasta.

Thanks to Groupon, the meal was only $33 a piece (regular price $66). The presentation of the food was not quite appealing, and tastewise, was just above average. However, at $33, it was a good deal for a quick italian meal. For the ladies, they also serve fit-size pastas at a lower price. In fact, at $29 you can have a fit-size pasta of the day which I think is a super deal.

Wanted to try their lasagne and macaroni and cheese, but only the macaroni was available today.

The macaroni cost $48 per portion.
When you order it the macaroni is reheated and then served.

The macaroni was the ribbed macaroni.
It was nice to have some comfort food but it could have tasted better, the cheese was tasteless but at least it was proper cheese.
The local macaroni and cheese is basically macaroni in cream sauce.

I was impressed the first time I bought my Spaghetti with Amatriciana (tomato + bacon) sauce here. The spaghetti was made al dente and somewhat thick in its shape which was interesting and tasty.No longer is the case now. The Spaghetti with Melanzana (tomato + eggplant) sauce now I ordered was 100% dry in the paper box and the sauce don't mix at all. It was an awful box of noodles. Spaghetti now has suddenly been switched by the shop to some tiny thin noodles which are not al dente. In gene

Spaghetti now has suddenly been switched by the shop to some tiny thin noodles which are not al dente.

In general the pasta here are cooked for too long in the water. It is nothing but just another poorly made, mushy pasta shop which we have plenty around.

約3-5mins,pasta便完成了,打開盒蓋,熱力迫人,regular的份量就如西餐廳一整碟意粉,對普通女生來說實在太多,fit size會更適合。

Pasta基本應有的麵粉香和外軟帶韌的口感,這店做到了,對洋人而言,要煮得一手不錯的home made pasta,就如中國人煮家常菜,不會太難。
我選了Gramigna + Arrabbiata,Gramigna本身形狀彎彎曲曲的,這裡的更不只一般見到的淡黃色,更有綠色,但實在食不出味道上的分別,未知是加了甚麼香草~ Arrabbiata即蕃茄辣椒醬,蕃茄醬非鮮製,辣味不足,醬汁份量亦不足。此等素質,稍懂廚藝的人不難煮得出,但考慮到其定位,又感覺正常不過。

CM的penne 更為失色,質地輕微過腍,由於penne很易煮得太腍,我向來不太好此種pasta。幸好他覺得醬汁Amatriciana(即蕃茄煙肉)尚可。

索價$70-$80的pasta自然不值,反而轉成combo,自選size,配以salad/cupcake + drinks,抵食又周到。於lunch hour人流如鯽的中環,食物水準以外賣店而言算是不俗,要站得住腳應該不太難吧~

七月中(時陰時晴)正常用餐次序都是先食鹹後吃甜的,今次卻是例外。當晚甜品當正餐的計劃失敗,大家都想回頭吃點咸,所以才會出現這次先吃甜後吃咸的非典形倒裝局面。在中環的食店多,但在HH時段還有輕食供應的卻不多。走下走下到了行人天橋底的的pasta mio,是一間專門做意大利粉的外賣小店。這店在開張時經過過,之後卻沒有機會嘗試。這裏除了可靈活配撘粉和醬汁外,還有份量不大的fit size,最適合不想吃太多的人,例如我們。呆望了菜單一會,最終選定了要Tagliatelle w/ Melanzana,和Spaghetti w/ Pesto各一。意粉是即叫即洽的,等了一會就有得吃。呈桶狀的外賣盒很可愛,其實就是外國的唐人餐廳常用的飯盒,在香港比較少見,不過曾在外國生活人士一定會認得。其實也很喜歡這裏的招牌設計,感覺很年輕有活力的感覺。失望的卻是味道。菠菜寬條麵沒有甚麼菠菜味,質感也太削,一拉就破掉;醬汁味道只是半桶水,遠遠不夠濃郁,汁還汁麵還麵的感覺不爽。香草醬意粉則佳,麵條夠粗身和滿有蛋味,也煙膩,當然如果再硬一點就更正宗。香草汁不算油膩,香味只是一般,記憶中cafe o的也做得比這裏香和出色。

意粉是即叫即洽的,等了一會就有得吃。呈桶狀的外賣盒很可愛,其實就是外國的唐人餐廳常用的飯盒,在香港比較少見,不過曾在外國生活人士一定會認得。其實也很喜歡這裏的招牌設計,感覺很年輕有活力的感覺。

失望的卻是味道。菠菜寬條麵沒有甚麼菠菜味,質感也太削,一拉就破掉;醬汁味道只是半桶水,遠遠不夠濃郁,汁還汁麵還麵的感覺不爽。

香草醬意粉則佳,麵條夠粗身和滿有蛋味,也煙膩,當然如果再硬一點就更正宗。香草汁不算油膩,香味只是一般,記憶中cafe o的也做得比這裏香和出色。

但以這個價錢和格局,意粉的質素已經算很好,雖然當然不能與最近在香港越開越多的人手造意粉相比...

I love gnocchi and ravioli so when I saw the reviews here I just had to try it out.In the earlier reviews there were no seating but now there are tables outside the shop. There is a similar joint like Pasta Mio called Deli Deli at Fortress Hill too which reminds me of New York, but Deli Deli seems more Japanese and Chinese because it serves sweet red bean pizza and oolong tea, adapted more for locals.

The pasta at this place was so tempting I couldn’t wait until winter because I love having a lovely box of hot pasta in the cold.
I prepared myself for the heat and sweat.
It was sweltering that day when I had the pasta.

I checked their website earlier and RETTANGOLI (Salmon-Dill ravioli) was the one I most wanted to try.
But when I got there, they had changed the menu and this one had been discontinued, but Gnocchi and other filled pastas were available. I wish I came here earlier because Salmon and dill as a filling in ravioli sounds yummy.

Pasta Mio is located near the long escalators on the corner. It is bright red, and the logo looks like an O sliced horizontally at the centre with the name in the middle, the sliced halves of the O is made of lines that represent pasta and the colour is dark corn.

The logo resembles Café O, but Café O has the name on top and the big O at the bottom.

It has big glass windows clearly displaying the different pastas available, each of them are labelled.
There is a glass display with cakes because they have a cake shop in Sheung Wan called Sprinkles, so I would expect their cakes to taste nice if they have a cake shop.

The walls of Pasta Mio are grey which matches nicely with their colour theme.

Anyway I sat down and had a look at their menu. At first it can be confusing, but basically you choose the type of pasta first, then the sauce, and then the size.

The pastas they have are:
Farfelle, Fusilli, Gnocchi, Penne (plain/wholewheat).
In the premium pastas range it includes filled pastas such as tortelloni, the choices are Spaghetti, Tagliatelle, Fiocchi (filled with smoked ham and fontana cheese), Tortelloni (spinach and ricotta cheese) and Tortellacci Toscani (filled with Casatella, Ricotta & Parmesan).

The sauces they had were:
Pomodoro (Tomato + Basil)
Arrabbiata (Tomato + Chilli)
Chicken (Tomato + Rosemary Chicken)
Bolognese (Tomato + Beef + Pork)
Melanzana (Tomato + Grilled Eggplant + Provolone Cheese)
Amatriciana (Tomato + Bacon)
Boscaiola (Tomato + Cream + Ham + Mushroom)
Carbonara (Cream + Egg + Bacon)
Four Cheese (Cream + Cheese)
J. Pesto (Basil + Pine Nuts + Olive Oil + Parmesan)

In the end I chose gnocchi with four cheese to compare it with La Piazzetta and Tortellacci Toscani with chicken and rosemary sauce and the size I chose was FIT (the smallest) so I could try both.
The pastas came fairly quickly.
Even though it was sweltering the pasta was so delicious the heat didn’t reduce my appetite.

Gnocchi with four cheeses sauce:
It looked similar to La Piazzetta, but the portion was slightly bigger.
The cheese sauce was quite runny and hot, but it was really nice and not sickly.
On top the gnocchi was powdered cheese too.
The gnocchi texture is similar to the chinese sweet dumplings and Shanghai new year cakes, but the texture of the gnocchi was not all consistent, some where harder or softer than others.
Although it wasn’t consistent it was nice having a variety of textures.
Gnocchi is made of potato and flour and its size and appearance is a bit like a chinese beard candy with ridges on the top.

Tortellaci Toscani with chicken and rosemary sauce:
The base of this sauce was tomato, and there were generous pieces of chicken. The chicken was really tender and fresh. Usually I do not eat the meat, but I ate all the chicken in this.
The Tortellaci was generous but some of it was stuck together.
The filling inside the tortellaci was ricotta, parmesan and casatella.
Casatella is a soft fresh rindless cows’ milk cheese from Lombardy
But anyway I loved it I could have had more, the cheese filling was really strong, I am glad I had this instead of the spinach and cheese filling.

To finish it off I had a tiny cupcake, which came with the set. It was really cute especially the box because the size of the box is about half the height of a coke can.

It was expected to taste good, because their cake range looked professional.
The pricing may be pricey, but its really good, and I cant wait till the summer goes and I really hope the RETTANGOLI (Salmon-Dill ravioli) will be back one day!
Next time, I will be back for the baked Macaroni and cheese.
I am so fed up with the fake macaroni and cheese inspired dishes that are just made with cream.

For health conscious people, they have a calories table on their menu, so you can see how much calories your pasta is because they have given an estimate for different pastas they do paired with the sauces.
