今日lunch 點左羊肉飯,一個字yummy!羊肉唔'so'唔多肥肉,咬感不錯, 啱哂我口味另外佢夠多不同的醬料 ,令羊肉的味道有唔同的層次😊甜品完全out of expectation , 好精緻,細細件唔太甜D cream配埋落 D紅莓 sauce好正性價比高的午餐, 好滿意!! 繼續閱讀

La Fleur is a hidden restaurant in the trendy star street area. It is quietly located in the deadline lane the St Fransis Yard.We had dinner there few years ago for our friend's birthday dinner. we both remembered it as a very nice meal. tonight we went there again.When we got there at 8pm on a Thursday night, it was quite quiet. There were only 3 other table chatting and eating.we had a look of the dinner menu, it reminded me of the birthday dinner we attended here. my husband kept saying, the set menu might be bad! But the one we had last time was really good in few years ago. So we gave it a try....... which we probably shouldnt have... For starter, we had 2 optionsthe escargots and the crab meat salad. When they served the escargot in a bowl, it was sso diappointing. Last time i had the set here, the escargots were nicely servced on a  escargot plate with mashed potatos and shells. Apart from the presentation, the food was salty. I couldn't finish it. For the crab meat salad, it was even more ridiculous. it has no crab meat AT ALL. It was full of sweet corn with mayonnaise dressing. How can one possibly call it a crab meat salad where there is no crab meat in it! For the Soup, i ordered the cream mushroom soup and my husband had the soup of the day which was seafood chower. My mushroom soup... again. it was very very salty and watery. After drinking a few spoon of it, i stopped. i started to feel very thristy. The seafood chowder was tasteless and watery.My main i ordered the rib eye steak with goose liver. Just by looking at the steak, you know it would never be good. It's like the cheap steak you get in local cha chaan teng. The goose liver was over cooked, nearly well done.  繼續閱讀

La Fluer在香港法國餐廳、以及在星街一帶,多年來屹立不倒,要寫個食評,相信也不會有甚麼驚喜之作。難道你會期待我寫個劣評嗎?更何況,是好友請客的生日飯,評個不好不就是把朋友都掌摑了嗎?可是光寫好吃,又何需再添一篇?(除了為升Lev)那惟一的入手之處就是性價比了。La Fluer的可愛之處在於其小。小小的店面,說著直白的廣東造,無需扮野,是舒適的進食環境。可我覺得桌子還是靠得太近一點,兩人吃飯跟鄰桌接近得像是四人吃飯,有點不自然。說說菜式吧。前菜是香煎鵝肝。食量不大的兩人分享,剛好一人一片。鵝肝煎得剛熟(我覺得可以略生一點),入口溶化,但帶一點點筋。黑醋汁濃淡適宜,整體香濃而不膩。我要了最喜愛的法式洋蔥湯,夠香濃,有層次,但對我來說嫌胡椒太多了一點。好友點了法式鴨腿,我當然不會放過。鴨腿皮煎得又香又脆,沒半點油,超好吃。鴨肉咸香,仍有咬口,而我略嫌不夠腍軟。我點的主菜是當天的special之一:牛面肉。燉煮的功夫很到家,肉質全熟,綿軟,切開之後,可以看到肉之中的筋已經煮成半啫喱狀,牛肉味在慢慢咀嚼之中在口腔滿盈。吃了這麼好一大塊,沒有感到吃累了--我是只吃得下350g牛扒的類型。此外,也要欣賞兩個主菜的配菜的心思。煎封的鴨腿配的是烤薯,燉煮的牛面肉,配的是白烚薯,這些細節沒有馬虎。甜品是焦糖布甸,布甸軟滑有蛋香,不太甜,連著脆脆的焦糖一起在口中咀嚼,爆發的是滿足感。整體的點評,從性價比著眼,La Fluer是信心之選。可是由於自己試過一些其他法菜小店,就覺得想追求更高性價比--簡單說就是更抵食,就有其他可以冒險去闖一闖的選擇,當然,結果可能是不幸。 繼續閱讀

It's not easy to locate this restaurant as it's always confusing to find the restaurants in that area.  I like the name of the restaurant, La Fleur = the flower, bring the freshness and blossom.  Initially, we would like to try the set menu, only $350/set with appetizer, main course and dessert.  However, we both didn't really like the soup and dessert so we decided to go for a-la-carte. Avocado salad with mozzarela cheese - they served it in the manner of a burger, very fun indeed.  Then, the salad is very refreshing. Cheese platter - nice mix of 4 kinds of cheese which were not very strong in taste.  They went well with the wines. Foie Gras - the portion is very decent as they offered 2 pieces for an order.  The taste was also fine but just not happy that it's not juicy centre. escargot with mashed potato - the way they prepared it was different from other restaurants.  If you recall, the restaurant used to put the escargot in the shell and bake it with the escargot ceremic plate.  Here, they just baked the mashed potato with the escargot together which I found the taste to be more intensed and the mashed potato was crispy like chips...very nice! Duck confit - that's the dish which required the longest time to prepare, well, I am just talking about 20 mins.  Surprisingly, this was the highlight of the night, the duck was so tender with crispy skin; not greasy at all and we just finished it in couple minutes.  Bring-our-own-wine moment: my favorite Pichon Lalande and a Burgundy Med-rare Angus steak - for a $300 angus steak like this, I have no complaint in any sense.  The chef has done a great job and came out with a medium rare steak, tender...juicy and we were very satisfied.  繼續閱讀

朋友推介午市鋸排好去處,午餐包前菜(鵝肝醬伴沙律菜、蟹肉沙律或是日餐湯、主菜(三文魚排、豬柳或牛排)我與友人也一心來試牛排水準,果然不負所望我們分別點了鵝肝醬伴沙律菜蟹肉沙律、然後一齊鋸牛排!這間餐廳的舖面廚房設計為開放式,所以唯一缺點就係食完走出餐廳會有好大浸油煙味哦~ 繼續閱讀
