Decided to try this place for lunch as we always passed it due to leaving nearby and the covered street frontage stirred up our curiosity. Restaurant had a buy one set and get one free deal on at the time for lunch. We ordered a sashmi set with udon which we were able to select a free sashmi don set ($288). The sashmi set with udon had a good combination of seafood including tuna, a white fish, prawns, salmon, squid and a giant scallop. The sashmi don set had salmon, scallop, squid, white fish and salmon roe. Seafood was fresh and service was good. Will come back again!

There are several restaurants within the area of wellwellwell. The Teahouse/Barhouse is essentially a high-end Cha Chann Tang during the day that used more expensive ingredients and a bar at night time. Originally I wanted to come for the skewers, but the restaurant staff told me that the skewers were only available during the night time. I like the open space that there was no glass doors or windows to block your view to the mall area. They had the semi-buffet at $298+10% for adults and $108 + 10% for kids, while since all people in the same table ought to have that, we simply chose the regular lunch sets. The lunch sets were of reasonable price of less than $200 each. The BBQ pork in the signature Honey-glazed Iberico Char Siu rice with pan-fried egg was great! Its texture was excellent and it also came with dark soya sauce on the side, which was very salty. Better not to pour that much into the rice. The jumbo scallop with spaghetti in lobster sauce was good, while the sauce didn’t seem to be lobster sauce. The charcoal grilled eel rice with scrambled egg was of huge portion and was yummy. We added $18 from the lunch set for an osmanthus egg tart for sharing, which looked like a burnt cheesecake, while essentially, it’s a thick, upright egg tart with mild osmanthus flavour, with puff pastry outside. We also ordered the Kurobuta pork cutlet sandwich with French fries from the a la carte menu. The bouncy texture of the Kurobuta pork was excellent and the fries were great.

It’s rainy weather all week. Better to stay indoor for lunch. Went to The Lounge in the Four Seasons Hotel. They’re having the David Blackmore Wagyu Beef special menu. Noting that it’d likely double the price of a meal at The Lounge, it’s still worth trying. I chose the Blackmore Australian wagyu beef ribeye M7-8 (250 grams) (at $988), with natural beef jus as the sauce, cooked medium rare, which was served with bone marrow and confit garlic. Both the texture and the flavour were great. Even the confit garlic was very yummy. For side dish, I chose the Australian eggplant in ripped cheddar parmigiana style, which looked like a vegetable lasagna. It was so rich and I could only finish half. I picked the pandan crème brulee from the all-day dining menu, which came with vanilla ice cream, kaya and “Nata de Coco”. That was so good that I finished it all, despite I was so full after completing the steak. The service was great. The waiter / waitress came by the table always at the right timing and was very polite and friendly.

Had tried their oyster ramen with oyster soup at their ifc branch. It’s great to be weather-proof when it was amber rain earlier. It’s very nice to taste the oyster flavour in the broth. There’s a slice of lemon there as well, which gave the nice fresh lemon flavour to the oyster, which was soft and fresh. It’s good that the lemon didn’t leave any bitter flavour when immersed in the hot soup. From its look, I thought the oyster would be hard, like the Chinese style golden oyster, but it turned out to be soft. They also put the oyster paste onto the 2 slices of slow cook cha siu, a very nice mix. I usually don’t like rockets much as a salad, while I quite like the rockets soaked into this rich broth and to be eaten warm. The gyozas were nice. Also liked the iced peach roasted tea. It looked and tasted like a half juice half tea. I think it lived up to its Michelin accreditation for its Tokyo branch.

It’s a qute cafe shop and their food always comes with surprise 💖surprisingly tasty So we’ve visited it many times already Orange panna cotta $45(not sure) The jam is all handmade, you can’t easily find it in HK. The pudding is rich and creamy, as you can the vanilla seed. Black sesame scone $45 The scone can balance the taste of sesame and butter,with crispy surface and moisture inside. The sesame butter is also handmade by the boss. So rich and perfectly match with the scone, Brunch (3items) $85(notsure) You can choose seasonal items in this set, and it comes with slides of bread(also handmade) Tomatoes, avocado, eggs are always my favourite choice. The combination is simply, But it’s fresh and well seasoned, so worthy to try💖 Latte$45 Coffee is undoubtedly great, and they change the beans frequently, so you won’t get bored of it 💖😆

I guess I haven’t had a bad dining experience which is so bad that I am willing to write a comment in thousands words. How they handle the guest experience gets into my nerves. Saturday night, the only time slot available was 20:30. They called me at 20:31 and asked where I was. We were literally 30 seconds away from the entrance. Never encountered something like this. Sounds like they want you to arrive once they are ready and finish ASAP so they can leave work earlier. We have reserved and pre ordered some dishes. Of course their salt baked chicken is included. It’s $980 on the menu when they sent me thru whatsapp. We have also reserved the kinki paella, 2 starters and 2 dessert. Once 4 of us were seated, the lady, probably the manager told us what dishes we had reserved which the orders were incorrect. She went to check and came back to confirm our correct order. She told us we could order some more starters as we only had 2. So we ordered burrata and short ribs, 2 more starters on top. She was also hardselling the white asparagus to us and told us that’s the last portion. She didn’t ask us once only but three times. Tried a little bit too hard on selling your last asparagus to the last table you have for the night right? Suddenly she stood between our table and a table of 2 next to us, showing a chicken cover with salt. As the host, no one explained what’s happening. Then the lady started demonstrating and explaining the ingredients to that table of 2, didn’t have any eye contacts with us at all. My friend did tell me the lady said discreetly to her, we were sharing half chicken with that table of 2. What??!! Did I ever say I reserved half chicken only? It’s not even an option on the menu?! Can anyone explain to us what’s going on? But then i saw they served a whole chicken to a family of 4 just next to us. That made me wonder, probably if they served us one whole chicken and half chicken to that table of 2, half chicken is not able to sell as we were the last table of the night. As a one michelin star restaurant serving sophisticated dishes style like this, I do expect they would change our plate courses by courses. They didn’t. They didn’t even change the cutlery we used. Not acceptable for restaurants like this. Service is awkward. Sommelier (maybe) started pouring us red wine so everyone thought our white wine was done. But you know what? After a glass of red, he then started pouring white wine to us again. Some explanation would be great if you wanted to see us would like to have some red wine with the beef? When there’s only us and a table in the private room left, at one point I was the one pouring wine for our table. No serving on any dishes at all. I was scooping the last bit of paella on the pan. The staff didn’t assist me. Instead, she said “aw yes please take the last bit so we can serve the chicken!” Wow! Excellent! Let’s talk about the dessert plating and wording. It’s the worst ever in a michelin star restaurant. Very slobby. A male staff even approached us and said “aiya the wording today is a bit ugly excuses us!” Huh? They haven’t introduced us the content and ingredients of the dishes when they serve us, not even a single dish. Service is super awkward and not up to standard at all. Understand it may not a fine dining restaurant. More like a casual one. But I cannot feel we are welcomed and warm or whatsoever. For this kind of bad service, you have to attract people to come back with your amazingly great food. Unfortunately food is not bad but nothing wow. So please tell me why I would come back and recommend this place to others? The worst is, from the beginning to the end, no one explained only half chicken is served to us and no one explained the cost as it’s not written on the menu. Whole chicken is $980 and they charged us $550 for half chicken. If you don’t charge $980/2 = $490, do you think you should explain it clearly? When I asked them in whatsapp later that night, they apologised for not telling us because they forgot to. They claimed we have reserved 2 main courses which was a bit too much if we had whole chicken. Hello? If we got too much food then why you kept persuading us to order more starters? Even hardselling the white asparagus not once but three bloody times?!!! The famous chicken was dry and you know why? Cause another half chicken which was served to our next table was served 30 mins ahead of us. Guess they placed our half in a warmer that’s why it was dry. And that’s the reason I prefer to have whole chicken. Thanks Neighbourhood! For a restaurant running like this and got a michelin star title, it’s unfair to those small restaurants that really pour their hearts and efforts to run the business. Maybe the owner Mr Lai should look after his guests better and manage his team way better. Asia best? In the same scale as Sézanne, Florilège? Higher place than Mono and Caprice? I’ll let you decide. Very sad to still have these places in HK!! How do these business expect to make money with such service attitude?! 🥲🥲

My first time eating at Terrace in Seaside, only been here for a cup of coffee before. I didn’t have high expectations of this place at first as the traffic here wasn’t high, but I was honestly impressed by the quality of their food and attention to detail for the presentation of their dishes. We asked the waiter what was recommended, and we ended up trying most of their signature dishes 😆 My favourite was their pork belly with perilla leaf and rice. I was expecting the pork belly to be very fat - it was fat, but still layered with meat (and it was tender!) I thought the heaviness of the meat paired well with the perilla leaf rice, balancing out the oiliness of the meat. Their tangerine waffle was the next highlight for me. The waffles weren’t that sweet, but it had a nice crunch outside and chewy texture for the waffle base. You could also taste how fresh the tangerines were and they had a tangerine sauce to further indulge you! In terms of drinks, I was a little surprised at their tangerine special yoghurt drink - literally serving it with a tangerine on top 😆 this drink had bits of tangerine in it, so whilst drinking it, it still tasted healthy. We ordered the pineapple smoothie as well - but I preferred this tangerine drink. It also made me happy to see that despite a small cafe amongst a sea of electronic shops, there were a few customers on a weekday dinner. Would totally come back again to try out ALL THEIR WAFFLE FLAVOURS!

Tempura Dinner. Suzuki San has now moved into 山下’s private room. Heard that ventilation system has much improved in the new space, with a larger L shaped Counter now seating 10 (2 more). Chef began by introducing the special sparkling salt from Germany. Here’s what we had. -Sesame Tofu in 鰹魚 broth. Loved the texture: light and crunchy on the outside; smooth but firm interior. -Prawn Legs 花竹蝦 -Sweet corn- the natural sweetness of the kernels accentuated by the light and airy batter. -Amadai- delightfully crunchy skin and tender meat. Served with lime. Asparagus Sea Urchin wrapped with Shiso Leaf Egg yolk with torched Kinmedai on salad leaves. Were instructed to mix the molten rich yolk with everything. 櫻花蝦餅- loved the intense umami flavors. Mushroom stuffed with shrimp Ayu Sweetfish- surprisingly no bitter taste at all. -伊佐木 （white fish with high fat content) -Abalone with liver sauce and gold speckles Zucchini flower stuffed with cheeee Eel, with bone. Choice of Ochazuke or Shrimp cake on Rice. Already very full- so requested an XS portion of rice. Not normally a fan of shrimp cake but this one had extra bits of veggies which enhanced the texture and taste. Dessert: orange, honey ice cream and warabi mochi. In summary: splendid dinner! Excellent service；chef skilled in both classic and innovative tempura preparations. No residual smell of sizzling hot oil on my hair after.👍🏼

Being a fan of pink, this place immediately caught my attention when I walked pass this shop at Langham Place. The shop keeper was super enthusiastic and friendly, and approached me with some introduction of the brand. Without a doubt, I picked the Assorted Palmiers gift box to support this Hong Kong brand. And oh my, I’ve never tried so many flavours of palmier before. The flavours included: 🔴 Original Palmier 🔴 Apple & Hawthorn Palmier 🔴 Sanxing Scallion & Cheese Palmier 🔴 Yuzu & Pear Palmier 🔴 Black Bean & Sesame Palmier Each palmier was individually packed. The inside was like eating a candy; sweet and chewy which I loved!!! My favourite is definitely Apple & Hawthorn as it’s very refreshing 🍎 Great for giving away as gifts too!

🇭🇰 North Point 北角｜Gui Yuan Siu Wok Mixian 貴緣小鍋米線 I heard there is a new mixian 🍜 place in North Point and I got to check it out last time! 👀 Customers can choose the toppings and the broth 🍲 as they prefer! This time, I tried their extra heavy fresh tomato 🍅 broth with toppings like minced pork, 🥩 chicken strips, 🐔 cheese sausage, 🧀 homemade pork belly, 🐖 chicken wings, 🪽 and homemade fish dumplings. 🥟 🍅 Extra heavy fresh tomato broth: It is so heavy in tomato flavor! 😲 🥩 Minced pork: It has a great balance between sweet and salty which I like! 😊 🐖 Homemade pork belly: It is not too fat and not too thin, which I love a lot! 😍 🪽 Chicken wings: Their master stock flavor is very unique! 😋 🥟 Homemade fish dumplings: Their dumplings are soft and taste perfect when soaked in the broth! 😆 I also tried their Gui Yuan Piquanti Shredded Chicken 🐥 which was made with sour veggies! They are so good but I personally like them less dry. 🥹 Moreover, their soy milk 🥛 tastes great with the rice noodle too! When strolling the busy street of mongkok, my husband and I saw this new yogurt shop so I got curious and checked. When I saw the menu they are selling avocado 🥑 yogurt shake, I didn’t think twice to buy since avocado 🥑 is one of my favorite fruits 🤤 and it’s rarely to find shop selling shakes with avocado. The waiting line is around 10-15 minutes considering there’s a lot of customers ordering. Staffs are nice and fast. Shop is decent and clean. Aside from avocado they have other fruits you can try(check the menu I have shared in photos) I highly recommend this shop and you should try especially summer is here, it’s nice to beat the heat with some avocado yogurt shakes 🤗 plus it’s healthier than other shake because it’s yogurt base 🥑 Oh by the way I saw they have recently opened a branch in causeway bay, I would not hesitate to get avocado shake again when I get the chance

🇹🇷 . I’m finally sitting in the coffee shop when I backed to HK from Europe within a week. I can enjoy my time in a Turkish Coffee shop — Marouf Coffee . 🍫 Double Chocolate Muffin It’s suitable for me who likes chocolate but doesn’t like it to be too sweet. There is also a layer of chocolate sauce in the middle . ☕️ Caramel Coffee Very complete latte art, with a sweet caramel aroma, and the coffee beans suit me very well . ☕️ Turkish Coffee It's very fragrant, and you can taste the spices. It feels like masala tea, but lighter . I like the style and atmosphere here, I can also enjoy my food and coffee when I’m sitting next to the window. There’s playing Turkish music too. Just slow down the pace of your life and enjoy your personal time! ⭐️Recommend⭐️
