Price is fair and you get a lot of side dishes.Place is not fancy but food is pretty good. I specially like their fish dishes, but it's Korean home cooking style, so don't recommend to ppl who are new to korean food. Their marinated meat is kinda sweet to koreans, but it seems like americans like a lot. so...it's up to you. 夏日炎炎,美寶想吃令人透心涼的水冷麵。我們經過錦城,走到價錢比較實惠的韓國街,可惜已經接近晚上十一時,食店都關門了。美寶不情願地帶我到附近的草苑。草苑的地方有點殘舊,但還算簡潔,坐得舒適。十一時,店內只餘下兩、三檯客人。我們只點了水冷麵,韓國女店員木無表情地下單,可能是我們的消費太少了…美寶說不太喜歡這間餐廳,因為味道普通而服務很差,但天氣太熱,已經不想花時間再找另一家韓國餐廳,就唯有來這裡了…六小碟前菜出場,先試炒粉絲(Japchae),味道果然是強差人意,只有醬油的味道…最少我在韓國街吃過的都比這裡的好吃。其他前菜味道正常,沒什麼特別。水冷麵來了,我是第一次試的,看見碗內有冰塊和梨片,覺得很有趣。麵條是很幼,很煙韌的韓國蕎麥麵。涼涼的湯底帶酸,麵拌著青瓜絲一起吃,很清新,感覺相當好。不過,美寶說湯底未夠冰涼,未有令人透心涼的感覺。而且梨應該是切絲的,而不是厚實的一片!還有那塊又硬又乾的牛蹍…因為美寶拒絕吃,所以我吃了…吃至尾聲,美寶叫店員加茶,叫了兩次也未有人來加茶。突然,我們聽到一句日文,沒錯,是在韓國餐廳聽到,是「しお ください」,就是請給我鹽的意思,立即就有女店員送上鹽給那位

水冷麵來了,我是第一次試的,看見碗內有冰塊和梨片,覺得很有趣。麵條是很幼,很煙韌的韓國蕎麥麵。涼涼的湯底帶酸,麵拌著青瓜絲一起吃,很清新,感覺相當好。不過,美寶說湯底未夠冰涼,未有令人透心涼的感覺。而且梨應該是切絲的,而不是厚實的一片!還有那塊又硬又乾的牛蹍…因為美寶拒絕吃,所以我吃了…

吃至尾聲,美寶叫店員加茶,叫了兩次也未有人來加茶。突然,我們聽到一句日文,沒錯,是在韓國餐廳聽到,是「しお ください」,就是請給我鹽的意思,立即就有女店員送上鹽給那位說日文的香港男仕,店員更稱讚他日文好。我笑說,要用日文才會有人來加茶呢!三催四請下,最後總算有茶喝了。

最後,到付款的時候,愛說日文的韓國店員一直縐著眉頭,可能是我們消費太少,又沒有跟她練習日文吧?

I wanted to take my husband to a nice Korean barbeque restaurant so we chose Cho Won after some research. When we arrived the restaurant was about a third full and we waited for the maitre d'. After some time a man came up to us and said "Full!" making a shooing motion. My husband asked me if I wanted to see a menu. "No," I said, "Not after that welcome." I'm afraid we won't be back.

早年來過多次, 這間店一點也不便宜, 算是地道的韓店, 由韓國夫婦兩人主理, 開了都有數十年, 近年才發現原來有位舊同學常常幫襯, 與老闆十分熟落, 於是今晚跟這位老同學再次來到這店, 由同學發辨, 首先來一客二百多元的牛肋骨, 可能因為熟客, 所以專人幫手剪肉剪骨, 牛肋骨味道不錯, 而肉質咬得出十分新鮮, 再來一客雞肉, 味道差不多, 但比較鞋口, 再一客燒腩肉, 我認為這是全晚最正的菜, 燒至肉質有些少燶, 肥肉有些少脆, 再加上老闆專登送的 “紫穌業”卷在一起吃, 是人間極品, 老闆告知, 原來一般客人只會給生菜而已, 之後再來一個牛排骨煲, 請不要被MENU內的照片悟導, 上台時的外貌絕對吸引過圖片, 牛排骨十分淋, 炆了很耐, 不需咬便離骨了, 最後來一個石煱飯, 可說是一般, 味道不及街外的韓式快餐, 而且飯身太淋, 沒有口感. 友人與我並不太好酒, 只叫了一支 “真露” 和兩支OB BEER, BEER 略淡, 而真露不太夠凍, 總括而言, 貴了些, 但吃得頗高興和滿意!

I'll keep this short.My friend wanted to have Korean BBQ. I asked him whether if he wanted the all-you-can-eat type or the regular type, he didn't have any preference. So I decided not to go to those all-you-can-eat ones mainly because the buffet type gives me the impression that they are very dirty.We ordered this set for 4. My friend wanted to have Korean BBQ. I asked him whether if he wanted the all-you-can-eat type or the regular type, he didn't have any preference. So I decided not to go to those all-you-can-eat ones mainly because the buffet type gives me the impression that they are very dirty.

We ordered this set for 4. We were BBQing away, all of a sudden this waitress decided to cook for us. She dumped ALL the raw meat we had on the table onto the fryer and cooked them all at once. I already found it very weird, and to be honest, I was quite annoyed. Part of the reason people go to Korean BBQ is because cooking our own food is part of the fun. This waitress didn't do it because of good service, it felt like she wanted to rush our dinner so we would leave earlier.

Here comes the worst part. This set came with a basket of lettuce. This waitress gave each of us a piece of lettuce using the same utensil she used on the raw meat. When I looked at the piece of lettuce she put on my dish, I could still see red juice dripping from the spot where the utensil grabbed onto the lettuce. It was disgusting.

The service was appalling. The food was ok. The bill came up to $820 for 4 people.

I would definitely NOT go back simply because of hygenic reason.

放工的時候最開心,去了tst的草苑食korean cuisine,一班朋友去食野,入到去唔多客,地方幾靜,坐位都唔算太迫。成日都想試既蛋包雜錦併盤,平時一個要成三百多,今次二百多有交易~蛋包雜錦併盤跟二十元三十件的長州煎釀三寶有什麼不同?我想就是新鮮點的材料,平均的蛋皮,最特別的就是一種味道清香的葉子蛋包。其他.... 你唔PICKY既咪就係煎釀三寶囉...這裡的辣冷麵是沒有湯的,係拌麵,不過味道也不是特別的辣,反而是辣令味道提升,中和左冷麵中的甜而令人一吃再吃。不過有人頂唔到辣所以同個侍應姐姐講問點解無同蘿白泡菜湯一齊上既?佢好好人話無架,不過見有人出曬汗咁佢入去拎碗泡菜湯呀~仲無收EXTRA CHARGE架,服務算唔錯~

因為屋企有三個人係八月生日,昨晚本人介紹下去食。記得之前食過好食啲,今次再去,冇以前咁好食,訂咗八人,本來店員安排坐出邊,但父親話想坐房,ok,安排咗入房坐。我哋點咗一個海鮮窩、海鮮煎餅、生牛肉、韓式炒粉絲、烤牛肋骨兩份、烤雞、烤豬,呢晚花咗$1,600。生牛肉…仍然美味!韓式炒粉絲啲牛肉老咗啲,不過不失,海鮮窩,冇以前咁新鮮!牛肋骨,好味!整體價錢偏貴。其實本來正式係應該一份燒烤跟幾碟小食前菜,咁頭一轉叫咗兩份燒烤,店員最初話唔得,只可以跟一份,但白飯呢?又跟兩碗喎!本人努力爭取,後來勉為其難跟兩份,(男店員話:廚房唔俾咁!理由唔合理!)咁到第二轉再落order,要多兩份燒烤,之前啲前菜吃得七七八八,好啦!唔問攞兩份,想要一份,話晒叫兩個餐,一份唔多囉,點知又話唔得,只係換兩碟,又係態度超衰!離譜!其實一份燒烤跟一份小菜,正常啫!好似乞佢咁,而且食過好多間韓式料理,啲前菜可以食完再添小小,態度唔好!

Anyway I called to make a reservation, and the receiver answered in Korean - thought that was a good sign, so I preceded.Lunch time seems to be pretty empty. Lunch time seems to be pretty empty. Came on a Friday afternoon and there was only one table of guests.

The choice of lunch sets are quite limited - the basic barbecued meats, about 3 types of soups, stone pot rice, assorted rice and noodle soups.

We were served

We ordered 8 banchans for 5 people, all of which are very ordinary - I usually enjoy banchans in other Korean restaurants, but there really is nothing especially good nor appetizing here - it's not bad, but it's definitely not worth any praise. Amounts are teeny, stir-fried vermicelli is not fresh - neither cold nor piping hot, as if it was left in room temperature for a while.


1. Stewed short ribs ($55)
Not my order. Came in a small stone pot and smells well marinated.

2. Bibimbap (assorted vegetables and beef on a bed of rice) ($52)
Same as dolsot bibimbap but without a stone pot, and the egg on top is fried.

3. Dolsot bibimbap ($55)
I think I ordered the most presentable item on the menu - the pot was sizzling through and through for at least 10 minutes when it was served, a nice crust formed in the bottom. Gochujang is probably store-bought, but they added some sesame in it.

4. Bulgolgi beef ($52)
They cook it for you and it's served on a grilling plate that failed to sizzle.


Beef and turnip soup was served - it's greasier than usual, visual lipid droplets float on the surface.

Not an enjoyable lunch. The food preparation seems very half-hearted. That single adjective sums up the whole experience - the decor, the service, the food. If you have read my other reviews I am usually very enthusiastic about Korean food, but I did not get the usual "high" after this meal.

Don't recommend this restaurant at all
- sure, the price is cheaper than most HK-island Korean restaurants, but I'd much rather pay a higher price.

My wife wanted to try TST Korean food for her birthday since we typically go to a few favorite places on the Island. The food was well-prepared and pretty good value for money, so that made it worthwhile. But like the previous reviewer's comment about the ox-tail soup, we were surprised at the lack of spice in some of the dishes; that was the only drawback.We got our expectations up when two Korean men came up in the lift with us carrying their golf bags, straight from the golf course to dinner.

We got our expectations up when two Korean men came up in the lift with us carrying their golf bags, straight from the golf course to dinner. So that makes me believe that the cooks are serving less spicy food for local HK tastes, and more spicy food for Korean tastes. Maybe others have found this out? We'll have to go back and try.

The dishes themselves were enjoyable. We thought the ingredients were very fresh, including the banchan and especially the kimchee.

Our order was pork belly for BBQ (forget the Korean name), sundubu jigae (tofu casserole), haemul pajun (seafood pancake), and bibim nengmyun (spicy cold noodles). For drinks we had lemon soju (麻麻)and OB beer.

The best dish by far was the haemul pajun. The pajun was cooked all the way through -- so many Korean restaurants rush pajun to the table with raw dough in the middle. The leeks were big and tasty, and the pajun had so much seafood in it we thought it was good value even at $120.

Both the pork belly and bibim nengmyun were enjoyable. We shared one portion of nengmyun, it was just right.

What disappointed us was the sundubu jigae. It was the most bland I have ever tried. Usually I have to wait until the sundubu cools off before I can eat it because it's so spicy. At least the tofu was very fresh and good quality, we like that part.

Overall I give it a 笑, next time we know to ask them for more spice!

泡菜、韓式燒烤、石頭飯、韓式年糕是你們的喜愛食品嗎?想大部份香港人也不甚能夠欣賞其箇中美味,但一旦愛上,又會死心塌地的時刻追隨。不喜歡的人會說泡菜咸咸酸酸又太辣、前菜凍冰冰、燒烤易上火、石頭飯似小朋友吃的、韓式年黨又硬又辣。但在我眼中,泡菜醒胃健康易入口、韓式燒烤適合無肉不歡的我,點些醬油加上新鮮蔬菜包著吃配合的天衣無縫、石頭飯味道十足,飯夠咬口熱辣辣上桌,和著各泡菜前菜吃,雙得益章、韓式年糕味道相當刺激,甜甜辣辣的味道會將食客的煩惱一掃而空,還記得有朋友一邊吃著年糕一邊駡辣,一邊不停的將年糕往咀裡送。香港這些韓食店,有些像漢X苑、南山X的沒有半點風味、有些像巨X莊及金X寶般價格高昂物非所值、有些像秀韓國XX般食物半好半差,還是我這個草苑最合心意,雖當然是不及韓國本土食物般美味,但他還是給各香港韓國人解了一點半點思鄉情。我嘛?給帶來了點點韓式情懷。前菜有9款,包括:泡菜、魚片、青菜、魚你、粉絲、豆腐、青豆等,除陣容強盛,一坐下會逗得客人歡歡喜喜外,亦不失它們原有的風味。泡菜味道一般,調味方面有待改進;魚片爽口,帶點甜味,不錯;青菜一般;魚仔很美味;粉絲較硬,給朋友發現粉絲裡有隻烏蠅?!

2人燒烤餐有豬牛雞,份量很足,燒出來的肉片有著難以抗拒的魅力。還有最愛的炒年糕,無可抗拒。

石頭飯,軟綿綿的白飯加上少許調味,混和雲耳條、紅蘿白條,愛不惜口。

帶甜的蘿白跟軟淋淋的牛腩弄出來的清湯,清甜無比,真是百喝不厭!!

不便宜的啊,2人花費約500多600塊,彼貴,但,我會再來的!

今年的第二次生日飯!韓菜例排一開始就有幾碟前菜,我地七個人俾左十碟,都幾好食。我地之後重 order多幾碟,每碟 $5。店員介紹我地食呢度出名既烤牛肋骨,真係好味,肉質好鮮嫩,醃肉既汁好香!我地還要左燒大蝦和燒雞肉,呢兩樣就麻麻啦。大蝦唔夠鮮味,雞肉就好普通!嗜魚既我要左燒魚,條魚超正!燒得甘甘好,唔會乾爭爭!另外,我地點左甜不辣炒年糕,泡菜海鮮煎餅和石頭飯。我覺得石頭飯較好味,但份量超少!同朋友聚舊又慶祝生日真係好開心,今日做野既唔開心都放下了!我地重要左三支真露 (加青瓜絲) 飲番杯!

尋晚一心一意想同番個朋友補番餐生日飯本身就諗住去隔離間日本嘢但係後尾經過呢度朋友話佢好鐘意食韓國嘢就入咗去試喇間鋪位於一樓有電梯搭不過等得嚟都上到去一入到去見到呢度唔算太多人主要都係啲外國人或者情侶具多都有一枱半枱有成五六個人裝修一般﹐較為單調因為主要係啲賣嘢食掛我哋叫咗唔係好多嘢食有燒牛肉啦﹑羊肉同埋雞肉仲有個石頭飯添最後仲有個湯同埋八款餐前小食先嚟八款小食其實間間都差唔多呢度比較有印象啲咪係個粉絲其他都麻麻地之後嚟咗一大堆嘢食伙記開著個爐跟住我哋就開始燒牛肉先落牛﹑羊﹑雞牛肉最好食因為個汁最香最濃加上啲牛可以生生地咁食肚餓咪可以燒兩燒就即食雞同羊就還可以因為始終燒得落就會好易燶啲雞就係咁燒焦了羊就有啲啲羶好少整得上都唔錯燒咗頭輪之後個石頭飯嚟咗朋友話呢個係佢最愛伙記即席炒俾我哋搞勻啲辣醬食真係好香好夠味仲有少少飯焦之後我哋都唔駛自己燒嚕…老闆娘親自過嚟同我哋炒可能見我哋糟蹋佢啲材料哈哈…我哋見個爐燶咗啲係咁而講咗兩句啲伙記好醒目咁幫我哋換之後就係咁食埋啲羊肉雞肉我啱走前都去過下洗手間乾淨但太開揚冇閂門番轉頭見人哋兩個人食差唔多啲嘢都食唔哂發覺自己好食得又肥番嚕…最後仲有四件橙送送就

因為始終燒得落就會好易燶
啲雞就係咁燒焦了

燒咗頭輪之後
