Fish School (西環)

This was my second time here after a few years and unfortunately the food and service have fallen tremendously.
As for the food, the fish we had was coarse and tough. Really not what we had expected for the price charged for this. The tomato salad was tasty but the portions were so small. The crab was average and the sauce was heavy, overcoming any taste of the crab. The steak was cold and on the raw side and the sauce again was too strong. The service was average. The food came on the slow side. Many visitors sitting around us seemed to also wait for longer than they had expected. The wine was on the expensive side. Overall an average experience and one that was more disappointing than my earlier visit.

Sushi Tokami (尖沙咀)

The 12 course meal or so was omakase and the food was generally good. The toro hand roll was probably the best followed by the shrimp sushi. The other pieces we're fresh but the selection was not spectacular. It was surprising that dessert was only 2 strawberries. For the final price of the dinner which was over $2000 a head, this was a very expensive meal for the content of food. There was no special or seasonal fish and most of the dishes we're common (see menu).
What was most surprising was that we saw the chef LEAN OVER AND THROW AWAY two pieces of sushi that one of the customers either didnt want to eat or didn't eat quickly enough. They didn't even have a chance to offer it to their friends! I have never ever seen that happen in a Japanese restaurant, expensive or not!
For the price that was paid for dinner I wouldn't recommend this place. Way too overpriced!

吉兆 (中環)

Came here for dinner and had the Omakase set.  The sushi was very fresh and the presentation was very good.  Each piece was delicately made and it was exquisite.  The tuna was fresh, as was the haddock.  My friend had a wagu rice dish and he said it was very good too, nice and soft and supple.  The sake was good too.  We asked for a dry one, and it was very flavourful.
Overall a very good experience.  The service was good too.  A little on the expensive side, but that's what you expect in Central.

Spiga (中環)

Came here for a group dinner. Table seating was pretty cramped for a high end restaurant like this. Ordered a variety of food, which was decent. Nothing really to rave about, but I can say the pork one of my guests had looked very, very dry. He was sawing through it and drinking a lot of water to accompany him swallowing it!

Service was commendable and attentive. Certainly won't come back again for the food, but it is convenient and to guests who are not from Hong Kong, it would seem a fine restaurant.

大官廳 (中環)

We ate in the private room upstairs and the 6 course meal was very good. The beef cubes were very good especially with the mustard underneath it. The soup was also very hot and had a lot of seafood in it which was very fresh.
The highlight was the big sesame ball for dessert which was blown out of proportion but also very delicious.
The service was very attentive and we had about four waiter is serving us. We will definitely come back again.
